Question for the DEVS: Making the universe more indepth?

I have a question to put out there for the dev's. Ive been a big fan of these sci fi space fighter games since i was 8 years old, running privateer and wing commander on MSDOS piloting and blasting my way through interstellar space. Eve brought to the table a whole new depth of interstellar gameplay for me and ive enjoyed it alot. However, out of all of the "space" related video games ive played, eve is by far the least spectacular in terms of "universe depth". What i mean by that is, everything is uniform and predictable and less then spontaneous.

In other more recent games that I had played over the past few years, one of them being a game called "freelancer" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freelancer_%28video_game%29

the space around worlds in which you traveled were alot more interesting. Random pockets of gas that you had to navigate through, huge asteroid fields, far greater in scale then the ones in eve. Lots of colors in the background, random places to go and do as you please. Eve just doesnt have this. If your in high sec, you fly around, do missions, mine, and that is your day. If your in null sec or low sec, you pvp, because if you try running the risk of doing missions or mining, you have to be in fleets, that not every user is able to just jump into, things start to get boring, and the game becomes less interesting.

More to the point, obviously there are limitations with what you can do with modern computer technology with an online game this massive, since bringing huge amounts of "depth" as we will call it to each system would put a larger strain on the already maxed servers, but will there every be a day where the universe of eve is so random, and so spectacular, that there will always be something to do without getting bored waiting for corp members to join your fleet to do something interesting?

Couple things I had thought of off the top of my head would be to ...

Improve the interaction between solo players, make it so that players could hire people through sort of a "job" program, for instance, if a miner needed someone to run security for them in a low sec system, they could make a job up, with a specific pay, and that job would be public throughout the system for other capsuleers to take. (obviously there would be issues to address with scammers)

Making the systems a little more random with object placement, make the background environments a little more random and eye appealing. Comets, meteors, things that would pose risks if we could travel in space today, INTERESTING things to do in space and explore.

Restructure the security system, make it so that solo players have better access to low sec environments, and push the pvp battles and wars further out into null and wormhole space. I find often these days that its not uncommon to have issues with pirates pushing as far into .7 and .8 systems in high sec, the ships are becoming insanely powerful as eve expands, yet concord cannot keep up with dealing with the security threats.

I would love to hear ideas of what other people think about this and their own ideas, maybe one day in a future expansion these dreams will come to life and the game will be that much better for it.

Always good to make a thread addressed to the developers over the weekend. Then when they are back in the office, the thread has already died.

P.S. Features and suggestions are that way.

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Not an excuse.

But, since you're new.. you might want to check the several thousand pages long lore. That is, the books.. the "short" stories, the chronicles and the scientific articles.

You might also want to check exploration. Its the best "random" and "unknown" stuff you can have without introducing analog flight-stick controls, which are impossible for EVE.

The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die.
