Question re: moon mining / coupling arrays and reactors

I have some spare PU/CPU on a corps POS and should be able to fit a couple of moon harvesting array and a simple reactor / silo set up.

I have a quick question - do I need a coupling array between the moon harvester and the reactor to buffer the materials, or do the harvester / reactor synchronize depending on when the fuel ticks over in the tower?

i.e. Is this enough

Moon Harvester ------>
---------------------------------------> Simple reactor array ---------------> Silo
Moon Harvester ------->

Or do I need

Moon harvester -----> Coupling array ---->
------------------------------------------------------------> Simple reactor array ---------------> Silo
Moon harvester -----> Coupling array ---->

Cheers

The miners, silos and reactors are timed to the fuel cycle of the tower. So all you have to do is make sure the silos are not offline when the fuel cycles. You are welcome to use coupling arrays if you want to, as they will catch any material coming out of a reactor or moon miner if you happen to have you silo off.

i.e. silo/miner > reactor > coupling array (optional) > silo

I once podded myself by blowing a huge fart.

tl;dr: no, you do not need to use coupling arrays. But if your tower happens to cycle while something in your reactor line is offline, you will lose a cycle.
