Alt skill training made easier?

Today I went to do a quick skill for an alt.

Logged in Char B to add skill. Went to run it. Char A is training! So I logged out on Char B, relogged on Char A, turned off training, logged off Char A and relogged Char B.

Finished a 10 minute skill and had to virtually reverse the entire process.

Any chance of getting this simplified CCP? Get a choice to swap training w/o log/relog?

Anyone else annoyed with this frivolous tedium?

It's been answered in an earlier thread.

They are aware of it, it's on the list of wibnifs but currently not on priority.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

if you know how long it is to the quick one finishes then , just start the new one when the time is up....

lol. Suggestions and answers aren't normally suffixed with a QUESTION MARK. Roll

"Does this suggestion make it easier or worse? Is this the best solution?" Many implications can be put behind a question mark. Would not be the first time I saw a title like that for a suggestion.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

And how about twiddling skills with 6 chars on 2 accounts? ;)

Take me for example. A trade alt.

Train your alts on seperate accounts and when they are done transfer them off to a main account, never to be trained again.

Yes.

And good luck suggesting a change to this crowd. Smile

An easy way to do it would be the following sequence:

Log on Alt
Drag skill into queue, click apply.
New Popup Window:

Another character on this account (De'Veldrin) is currently training Whupass to level 5. Would you like to pause that character and start the currently selected one? Yes/No.

Clicking Yes pauses the prior training character to pause their training, and start your alt training the selected skill.
Clicking No makes no changes.

Then you just log back into your main, and when the skill is done, start them training again.

Simple, intuitive, and it tells you everything you need to know to make an informed decision on the matter.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

This.

Also, the same system should be implemented with implants. I'm never going to be not training a skill and I'm never not going to want to start training again after I plug the implant in. Just pause and restart the skill when I plug an implant in.

I would like to see an account skill queue. if current training character finishes skill and has nothing in queue, it checks all other characters, most recent logged into first, to see if they have something in queue. This would also need the ability to add skills to the queue while someone else is training.
