Many people claimed walking in stations melted there computers.

I think if we Moved WIS to DUST it would be easier to develope as the PS3 is very powerful graphics look as BF3 for example and there is a baseline of hardware requirements met.

I agree the current future in EVE devloping FIS should take centre stage but I really liked the possibilites of opening up the EVE universe with WIS. I also think that the DUST community would enjoy this link between the two games and be more accepting of the concept.

CCP why cant you have a balance and do both? Problem was you failed to continue to devlope FIS which caused back lash now your going to make another mistake by ignoring all the fans looking forward to the next step into Stations.

Dust is developed using a licensed 3:rd party engine (Unreal).

Incarna and WoD is using CCP's own engine (part of the Carbon framework).

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Yet another "brilliant" idea from WiS hater(s). Despite 500 developers team CCP clearly don't have capability to complete anything in EVE without 1-5 years long debugs and major re-balances - yet another game (Dust) will be a miracle if released without major f*k up. No need to make things more complicated - let CCP do whatever they want and let's hope they won't go bankrupt next year or two until more sci-fi games will be available.

BTW new CQ and clothing on SiSi are great. Sadly, stinky NeX and 3500AUR per plex rate spoils everything.

If an INCARNA programmer took the code for CQ with him to meet the DUST programmers and had a meeting with the UNREAL engine dev then the chances are INCARNA guy would be mocked, killed and buried in a landfill.

CCP doesn't and never had 500 DEVELOPERS. They had a max of 600 employees most of which are in marketing, tech support, art design, Q&A, server techs, lolresearch team, GMs, CMs, etc.

Everything else you posted I agree with however.

no need to go that far... all ccp need do is ditch the current engine and just use the tried and tested unreal 3 engine.
