Newbie question - Market sell orders with no buyers in the region

I just moved to Solitude to be with my corp. Great. The NPCs drop awesome salvage and they have great bounties. The problem is that when I go to sell some of my (high value) salvage there are no buyers, and all of my sell orders fail. When I was in hi-sec, there was (nearly) always a buyer for my stuff, but this is a change.

So is there any way for me to get rid of my loot without having to fly to a different region? Or do I have to wait and haul everything to a more populated system if I want to sell?

Thanks!

Idk, try selling stuff people in that area want.

If everybody is flying hookbills... sell hookbill stuff.

I think the 'usual' way is to haul to a hi-sec trade hub

This.

Or use the salvage to build rigs that have applications to Solitude residents. I'd be guessing, but that's probably armor buffer rigs, shield buffer rigs, resist rigs for the rats in the area, and exploration rigs. Don't bother with t2 rigs, they aren't widely used in lowsec except on capital ships.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

You're wondering why the market is thin in Solitude?
