PvP Classes?

Does anybody offer PvP classes? I'm a big time carebear, never fought an actual PvP thing (terrified of losing my ship... well, more like scared of getting podded)

I was wondering if anybody could teach me how to do PvP. It's a thing I'll have to do eventually, so I suppose I should learn now, eh?

I will pay you (as long as you don't pop me) in exchange for lessons and tips and blah blah blah...

Yes I understand I can just look it up or watch videos, but it's a lot better to actually learn.

I can help with markets and mining. I also do some production/selling. Remember, EVERYTHING in EVE is PvP!!!

you may wish to lookup eve university (I think their website has 'ivy' somewhere in its name) and AGONY unleashed. I understand the university still run classes and some years ago I attended a superb series of classes with AGONY.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

If you are talking a proper amount of isk BYDI private classes are of much higher quality than those public options.

It will depend on the style of pvp you would like.

Getting into a Null corp will let you take part in the massive battles.
I found Null to be a bit boring due to the long form up times and CTA's but some people really like it's scale.

Low sec player corps can be a good place to learn as you play.
If you want a full time war and full time enemy with mostly small gangs - Look for a Faction Warfare corporation.

There are good corps in all Militias.
The ships are also very affordable that FW players use so losses will not bother you.

Or many good pirate corps are out in low sec too.

It takes a while to find what you want to do in Eve so it doesn't hurt to try all.

Agony Unleashed runs PvP-U, which offers PvP classes to the general public.

Our Enrollment Fourm may be found here, where we post upcoming classes.
Our Wiki is open to the public, and has additional information on the classes we offer.

Read through student comments if you have doubts or concerns about our classes. We've been doing this a long time, and are about 3ish months away from graduating our 10,000'th student.

Well I'm not exactly rich. Most of my time is spent mining and mission grinding ;~;

I might check out AGONY though. I think some nullsec living would do me good, but thanks for the offer!

AGONY!

I can't recommend these guys enough. They know what they are doing and you will learn loads about pvp.

There are 'private' groups within the pirate sector that also do this but AGONY have been doing this since the dawn of time and have an excellent stack of material to help along with the classes to actually get you out there and shooting stuff.

Eve-u?! Nope. They are really really really bad at pvp and you won't learn anything from them apart from how to press F1.

Agony every time for teaching.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

If you want to hear more, send me a PM

Not rich? Awh =< We could have had something magical!

And if the Agony guys are the reason why Taoist keeps flying rifters you should stay away from them :P

Personally agony is a good investment for a round education focused on gangs. RvB is free but they don't do "lessons" and some of what you learn there is not going to do any favors in other environments.

Really though there is nothing that teaches better than getting blown up. Decide what style of PvP you are wanting and go get to it. Just don't be surprised to die a lot more than you win for a good while.

The corp I am currently in teaches nullsec survival and pvp basics. My instructors say that OUCH's approach and Agony's are different and complement each other so you couldn't go wrong doing both. OUCH is free but it does require joining the corp for the duration of the classes. I've had a blast with them! I've finished the formal modules and now I am working on learning about how interdictor bubbles work; how to be a great tackler in a stripped-down Merlin using meta 0 modules; learning how to be a slippery eel while traveling through low and null; meeting great people -- well I guess you get the picture!
