Caille gang members offer support to Minmatar community

With tensions between the ethnic Gallente and Minmatar communities in the Federation still high since the Colelie Incident, gang members in Caille have offered support and protection to the local Minmatar community.

The West Caille "This Way Ups", sporting Minmatar symbols normally associated with packing crates, have said that they stand ready to protect their fellow residents, against those that would do them harm.

"Yeah, like, so like, them Garoun punks with their Coriault fashion gear, like, they say the Minmatar should like, get out and stuff, and like, they don't know nothing. It's rough on the street, yo", said one young man.
"Totes, like, the Minmatar? they're totes our like, bruvs", said a young woman, with an outlandish hairstyle.
"Sis, too, man. Like, them tribal honeys are hot", said another of the gang.
"he's having a laugh, innit. One of them Brutor girls, totes grabbed one of his nadgers, nearly twistered it right off!" said a second, bald-headed young woman.

Minmatar residents opinions were varied, with some praising the cultural solidarity expressed by the gang members, with other residents not as enthusiastic.
"They are such sweet boys and girls", said one elderly Sebiestor woman, "why, they always help me across the road".
"It never rains but it pours" said one Brutor street philosopher, wearing a T-shirt captioned "Dark Times"

Caille Police had this to say:
"If they're committing crimes, they're at least being quiet about it, for a change."

This is my city. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Now if you'll please excuse me, I need to firmly plant my palm onto my face for a good few hours.

It's good to have support from the community I guess.

Down with this sort of thing.

Firstly, thank you to those who mailed me about the meaning of that term. I have added it to my word filter.

Secondly, while it's easy to mock a group of clueless youths who lack the ability to speak coherently and have adopted a packing crate label as their gang tattoo, their heart at least is in the right place. In a time when Minmatar and Federation relations are cooling, it's good to see that some can still love their neighbor, no matter their race or ancestry.

You can never be sure with those Gallente and their enthusiasm for body-modification.

I hear their gang slogan is "This Way Ups with that Sort of Thing."

Any comments?

Here I've been thinking it was "This *End* Up!" No wonder they get so offended, at least until the sedatives take effect.
