At zero hour thirty of the 25th, I will be attempting another relief run and evacuation. I have navigation waypoints set up that will allow for orbital insertion. If you wish to attend, please rendevous in the Duvolle laboratories relief area for a pilots meeting at 0015. The following is required:

  1. Industrial ships for hauling supplies
  2. Life giving materials. See here for more details
  3. infrastructure components for production of essential products

This is an atmospheric entry, all ships should have the following:

  • Shield reinforcements
  • Damage control
  • Bulkheads
  • Cloak recommended to avoid ground fire

All ships WILL be scanned to ensure they can both survive entry, plus to ensure they contain no contraband or military components. If you do not submit to the scan, or are found carrying prohibited items, then you will not be permitted to join the convoy.

Edit: Please arrive beforehand to commence scanning. We warp precisely on time due to narrow operation window.
Edit 2: Channel will be "Caldari Relief"

I do hope you remember to bring armed escorts. There is no shortage of pirates, fanatics and garden variety lunatics out there who's love to find a large convoy filled with goods traveling through an area already littered with debris to hide in.

Nope, no armed escorts. Warships are too easy to detect. Concord has regained it's 1.0 rated security network in Luminaire plus it is off any main shipping lanes. Only myself and my contact on the planet know the approximate location and frequency of the beacons which will be supplied.

Many of the products needed are of little value to capsuleers, so I am not to worried about threats of spacial piracy.

I wanted to ask about that actually.
What is an appropriate vessel for such an operation?
I had initially though maybe a dragoon, it possesses moderate self defense capabilities and missiles can be detonated prematurely or steered away from civilian targets if they miss were I to be engaged ground-side, and unmodified, the cargo bay is capable of holding 300 cubic meters of cargo and has sufficient life support capacity for a couple hundred refugees for long enough to take them to a station.

Upon further consideration of the matter, however, I have realized, I don't actually know the atmospheric capabilities of light drones, and it has been quite some time since I operated a ship that far down in a grav well for low atmospheric operations. Indeed while I know both the State and federation militaries have been fighting groundside, and have certainly set up SAM sites and AAA, I don't know if they would fire upon me.

Without creating a security risk to the operation, the ideal ship is an industrial hauler. Most combat ships have a large power signature easily detected.

A dragoon could make for nice support. Frigates and destroyers do have the small signatures. If modified, drones can work in atmosphere, but this will be a non combat operation hopefully. The main purpose is for a high altitude drop. In which survivors will be able to pick up once the zone is clear. The operation itself should not take too long if the formations are done quickly.

SAM and AAA detection would mean an immediate withdrawl. Due to the stresses placed on the hull from gravity, and the need for the shields to deflect the wind loading, it is not possible to take sustained fire.

The evacuations will consist of atmospheric transports waiting near the drop sites. This is another reason that the location cannot be disclosed. As we progress, it will become apparent of the necessity for secrecy.

The operation was a success. For security reasons, I will not release any records until the no fly zone has been cleared. I will like to thank the three pilots who joined me in delivering the supplies to the planet and assisting on the last trip to make a delivery. I will leave it to them to whether they wish to be acknowledged or not. We succeeded in delivery of Antibiotics, Water and Telmar and one final group of critical evacuees. This should hopefully help until officials can become properly established on the surface

I am glad the operation was a success.

I wish I could have helped relief operations, but I was indisposed.
If I get the chance, I may attempt a solo drop at a later time.

I have been informed that the Sister's of Eve have now established controlled landing sites. Future deliveries can also be made to the customs office. Thank you though, I am sure they appreciate all donations they can get.
