Hi! Today, before leaving for the office, I left EVE Launcher online on my computer, so that the client would be ready when back from work and I could play right along!!!!

Well, to my disappointment, when I arrived home and pressed play on the launcher, it started downloading the update and then updated the client.

If the launcher can not do that by itself, then, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing!!!

Launchers! Hu! Good God yall! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

The launcher initially checks for updates when it's launched, if it was launched before downtime it wouldn't have picked up the patch because it was already running. The same happens with other programs such as Adobe Reader, iTunes, etc, they check for updates on initial launch.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

well, good old EVE client could do that too. What's the improvement then?

My launcher still shows the Inferno title screen briefly before closing.
