Okagaiken Liberated.

Since this is what apparently one does when one is currently down in the war, I would like to announce that today, forces of Evoke, Liandri Covenant, and various other Caldari militia liberated the occupied system of Okagaiken. The Gallente defended the system, but did not have the necessary numbers to overwhelm the offense. Even by the use of non-aligned allies and remaining in complexes to prevent new battles from occurring, the system was made vulnerable. The Infrastructure hub was taken down in a few minutes, and the Gallente fleet which warped in too late to save it was utterly obliterated by Evoke.

This may not last - Gallente forces still outnumber Caldari - but even in the darkest hours of the State, true Caldari still fight. We will fight them in Okagaiken, in Black Rise, in Lonetrek, in Placid, in Essence. If we cannot dock, we will strike from high sec. If we are denied system upgrades, we will fight with cheap ships and less useful guns. If CONCORD favors the Federation, we will fight anyway. And, someday, the Gallente front will crack, and we will flood back into the systems the Federation has held so close. We will have vengeance, and the skies of Placid will burn.

Good to hear of your victory at Okagaiken. Today, you make the Caldari people proud.

Anywho, if you need assistance, I would happily provide it. Don't know how much good it will do, but I am always glad to do my part for the Caldari State.

Would you prefer that the planets did? I'm less than sanguine about these new soldiers...I suspect there may be no choice.

Andreus, I'm sad to find you in here beating the war drums and waving the coloured flags. Especially for a victory as transient as yesterdays. Don't make yourself into the FDU's poster boy.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

An interesting statement which you no doubt have unequivocal proof of. Or was it just intended to bait the bear?

Oh, I'm sorry you feel that way, Pieter. I just tend to get upset when people threaten to burn my homeworld, but I'm sure you guys wouldn't know anything about that.

It seems im quite confused, had the impression the Federation often used the term "Liberated" to denote a system in the warzone that was incorporated into Federal Jurisdiction, but when the State did the same i though the aproppiate term was "acquired" since now all Megacorps will bid for the resources available there.

Or i'm missing something?

That is usually the only resort criminal extremists like Freedom Fighters can find to justify their cause.

Blame CONCORD. How trite.

Angry, selfish children unhappy not to be able to get what they want and yelling at their parents "this is unfair".

I too am waiting for a proof of such bold claims.

Outstanding work. The re-capture of Okagaiken and Villasen will serve us well.

Orders for the State Protectorate are incoming.

Vikarion, I expect you to execute them to the fullest of your ability, and pass on details to those trusted within the State Protectorate as solid commanders.

Though my tenure in The Outcast Dead will be brief, as I am merely negotiating on behalf of my esteemed colleague Noboru Tahvo Toivonen, I will add only this;

We stand ready alongside our brothers and sisters, whether in the medium of space or on the face of any world therein. In mere days we will prove our loyalty and line up with our brothers and sisters to prove that it is truly adversity that fires Caldari society.

I for one wish the Protectorate every success in the upcoming resurgence. As soon as our standings are confirmed with the correct authorities, we will be at your command.

Vikarion-haan, if you could spare some time for a fellow loyalist, I would be delighted to speak with you with regards to the current state of affairs.

I absolutely understand that. It has become sadly popular to speak casually of 'glassing worlds' and I'm concerned that our new powers allowing us to shell tactical targets may prove to be a slippery slope. The difference between tactical and strategic is, after all, only a matter of scale.

To be honest, though, you've been upset by something previous to Vikarion-haan's statement. Maybe we should talk.

Sami Okuuda:

During a short meeting this morning with Vikarion, I was told this morning of the successes that Liandri and our allies have had pertaining to the liberation of the systems Okagaiken and Villasen. Be rest assured, as one of Vikarion's superior officers, the right information has been passed to us. We will not stand for the tyrannical control of the Federation over our State educated, State raised, and State loyal citizens. We will not stop until we have reclaimed those persons and worlds loyal to the State, and given freedom to all whom pledge themselves to the State.

Glory to the State!
