Before you all start in on me. I recently got a videocard. Before that my video drivers would lock up even from a basic level one mission. So i couldn't mission and even mining sometimes would make my vid-driver start screaming in pain.

Please help. I will start level 1 missions and various things to get back into the eve i could never experience till now.

Once you've followed this advice (and since you want to do combat) I feel you will want to consider a Per / Int remap so that you can have quick training times on your core skills (almost all rely on int) and your weapons and ship commands skills (Per).

Thank you lost. :) And to demolisher, if i was a couple million sp char i probaly woulld. But as Mishas been around for awhile and pushing 6 mill. I'll hang onto her for a few more years.

I think the hardest part is sticking to the skill plan, especially when the training times increase and there is that oh so shiny but totally unconnected skill that you really want.

Well, principally everything goes, but the guardian has it's strength (hp/res/lows) definitly in armor.

I would suggest a scimitar as it's well balanced with a little hang to shields and altogether 2 more low/med slots.

But that would mean you have to stick to minmatar ships for a while, since the lvl5s eat lot of skill time.

May I ask what you plan to do with the logi? :)

Just noticed a little lack of power grid in the scimitar...perhaps the basilisk would be a slightly better choice for a shield repper.

all I'm supporting is the Basilisk with this post, because it is what I know. the other logistics should still be considered.

what I love about the basilisk and its bonuses to cap transfer and shield transport is the flat out ability to break the law of conservation of energy "energy may neither be created nor destroyed." No, actually, the basilisk creates energy. about six times what you put into it, and out to 81km.

not all is great with the basilisk however, or this fit, and it's best used in a chain with 1 other logi or another ship that can provide it 2 large cap transfers. with that, though, it can run everything including its own booster full-time.

It doesn't have bonuses to armor repair, but, it can power a ship that has local reps. so there's still some viability. ...useful for flying with megathrons that only need 1 cap transfer to be a complete ship. shield transporters have higher fitting requirements, so going full cap logi is always an option.

another topic for thought: carriers are meant to be logi for supercarriers and battleship fleets. if you want to talk about a force multiplier, carriers are it. giant logi.

this is the 1 year "perfect logi" basilisk training plan I have my new pilots on. it is min-max attribute optimized at 27 Intelligence 21 memory, with +4 implants (requires cybernetics IV). by the time you finish Logistics V you will also have core skills to Elite, Navigation (high velocity helmsman) Elite, as well as the shield tanking to Elite.

I disagree. All 4 logis are very good and useful for each of their roles. The cap chaining ones (Guardian and Basi) uses the capchain to run while the self supplying ones (Oni and Scimi) relies on their own regen and thus dont need any cap transfers.

For general PVE the Basi and Guardian tends to pull ahead since the cap chain makes it easy to make them stable while offering utility (in form of cap transfers) for the dps ships. Any cap hungry laser ship will apreciate it :)

However the Oni (cant remember the full name of the gallente one) and Scimi shouldn't be underestimated for PVE. Any decent incursion fleet would have a good split between the cap chaining logis and the self stable logis. An incursion scimi can often fit 2 shadow serp. tracking links, which will be a great boost for your friends in faction BSs.

From PVP perspective the Basi is rarely used. It is too slow and got a too big sig. So for shield fleets the scimi is the king. They rarely make use of the TL bonus though. PVP Scimis use their mobility to keep distance to enemy DPS which is their way to mitigate most dmg. So they do often have MWD fitted.

Guardians and Onis are both great ships for armor fleets. The Guardians rely on their low sig, good resists and AB to tank incomming dmg. They can be fit with 5/1 layout (5 reppers and 1 energy transfer) to maximize repping power or they can be fit with a 4/2 layout which greatly increases their resistance to neuts and allows them to feed energy to their cap hungry laser friends. The Oni is more like the scimi. Its fast and uses its mobility to defend itself. Generally the guardian is used for big fleets while the oni is better for smaller skirmishing gangs.
