CCP, you have done enough.

High sec is fairly safe, barges are decently tanked.

Can flipping is more or less gone, ganking is no longer profitable.

Don't do anymore, at least leave high sec a place where it is still possible to die in a horrible fire if you are dumb.

I am a carebear, and I support High Sec ganking and PvP. Just please, don't blow up my Hulk*. **<3 **

More is to come with crimewatch.
Yet not sure if very carebeary as it still requires them to open fire on reds.

As a carebear myself I think they went too far...

I love the new mining barges, they have given each a purpose, which they are very good at.

But they are mining barges... they shouldn't be equipped to survive combat.
And if you want them equipped to survive combat then fit them that way, sacrifice something, that's what has to happen with every other ship.

Highsec shouldn't be "safe" it should just a place where transgressors are punished.

We should have been forced to tank our barges, or bring friends with guns, not be handed out BB sized EHP on something that is in effect a bulldozer.

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.

They cant survive combat. Problem is eve has always been in a power creep upward in damage as they constantly try and fix and balance. Now they can once again survive 5-10 seconds pretty well from duo targets. If they were ever caught in a wardeck though. They wont survive 12 seconds, unless its a pro or skiff and with any luck its a trap anyway.
What is currently broke still is NPC corps. There is not enough tax, and no way to tax raw ore that is pumped to a refiner character.

why not make sec status kind of dynamic? at least for the low sec systems? less kills per hour, higher status - more concord. more kills - or less players -> lower sec status. this way it would be a bit more dynamic - and maybe some null sec alliance would love to have some carebear trading for a while but needed to defense that highsec status for it.. dunno just an idea

so many complains.
I wonder why EVE has so many subs when most of the posts are discussing leaving eve or hating it.
if you don't like a game just scoop over to another one.
If you do like it, try not to change it because you may end up changing more than you asked for.

Because there is no alternative to Eve?
If you know about a game similar to Eve, do tell! I'd love to know where to go when CCP's marketing guys turn Eve into a themepark MMO.

He fitted a tank to his dozer and its worked as a Tank... but in the end he would of been better off using the dozer as a dozer and getting a tank to run stuff over...

Yeah, exactly. EvE messes with you at every level...even in high sec.

I got undercut on the market *again*, I had my DED site loot stolen by a speed fit Loki...I've lost several barges (pre-patch) from random gankers. On the other side of the coin, 2 friends and I snuck into a wh the other day and did all the sleeper sites, escaping with a nice bit of isk. I know these are tiny little examples, but I don't have a lot of time to play EvE..the point is, even as a casual CB I can have a dynamic and varied game play experience. Taking these things...these unpredictable, sometimes evil things out of EvE turns it into WoW in space.

No EvE player wants that.

High:
adjective. tall - lofty - great -elevated - big
noun. height - peak
adverb. aloft - highly - up

Security:
noun. the state of being free from danger or threat

My own opinion on the issue doesn't matter. Just felt like pointing that out to you. So far CCP is making it live up to it's definition.

Just sayin'

space/spās/
Noun:
A continuous area or expanse that is free, available, or unoccupied

I guess CCP should delete everything from EvE too, to stay in line with Merriam Webster.

By that definition people should be forced to take a survey before every highsec jump and fill out a flight plan with Concord

I like the idea of dynamic security... But I think it should move opposite to what you have described...

A certain number of kills per hour = a security response
May a defeat-able version of CONCORD pushing out into lowsec...

I don't like really like the line in the sand that is the low/high boundary... a more gradual cascade to lawlessness would be nice...

Yet people keep saying to fit a tank, and many saying nothing but tank before the changes, to barges.

This whole thread seems oddly like those former global warming "skeptics" that have looked at the "new" data and have seen the light.

Suiciding should always be possible, just like in real life. However, it should come with grave consequnces if used.

That may be a valid point. Perhaps NPC corps are being abused somewhat by veteran players, but then their purpose as a shelter for new players they are still needed.

How about this then: New players in NPC corps begin at zero percent tax. However, for every month that they remain in a NPC their tax rate goes up by 1%, finally capping at 60% after five years.
