[Proposal] Abandoned Sov Mods

For the 0.0 folks out there, you know what I mean when I say there is a lot of space junk out in sov 0.0.

Ihubs, TCU's, just float abandoned, and when "cleaned up" take a rather large amount of time to kill.

TCU's Stats:
Structure Hitpoints
1,000,000 HP
Shield Capacity
10,000,000 HP
Armor Hitpoints
10,000,000 HP

Say you have a Nyx, how long does it take to kill?
10,000dps
10m shield + 10m armor + 1m structure = 21m HP
35 minutes.

However, lets take a little look at an iHub...
iHub Stats:
Structure Hitpoints
5,000,000 HP
Shield Capacity
75,000,000 HP
Armor Hitpoints
112,500,000 HP

Nyx at 10,000dps
75m shield + 112.5m Armor + 5m Structure = 192.5 HP
5.34 hours.

See this issue here? Just for getting rid of something that was Abandoned, and you can't unanchor it?

So here's my Proposal(s)

A, let them be unanchorable if someone other then the owner controls sov.

B, (more complicated) make them consume 1 stront per hour, have a fuel bay so they can be fuel for 14-30 days.
As long as they have stront, they are exactly as they are now, beefy. However if the stront runs out, then cut their HP by 50-75%. You could do this by resists, or what have you.

So in conclusion, I'd much rather you fix more pressing concerns, however if Team BFF needs ideas, here's one.

There should probably be an easier way of taking genuinely abandoned features, yes.

In the absence of such an easy way, though, I highly recommend bribery; in one notable recent case, my own corp leadership managed to simply purchase abandoned sov infrastructure from it's former owners, saving them the trouble of having to deal with it, and saving us the trouble of having to buy and ship replacements.

I totally agree with abondend stuff floating in space, reduce the hitpoints of unfueled but still anchored stuff. Cant be difficult to do that.

Thanks for the like's guys,

I feel that most people don't even know that this is an issue, because they are in highsec.
But everyone's shouting "nerf the Supers" when, if a dps nerf were to be taken to the supers, this problem would be even more exaggerated.

But ya, just a thought, lol.

I'm a big fan of creating a way to both salvage and destroy POS and SOV trash. To often, SOV mods and POS mods are left in space, because the time and energy required to destroy or scoop them is significantly out of line with what they are worth.

I think all offline Towers and Sov mods should have their HP significantly reduced. Implementing this by changing the resistances of a structure depending if its online or not makes an enormous amount of sense, and hopefully shoudln't be too difficult to implement.

Well, with the Super nerf, this is only going to get harder. Even with Dreads, this job is going to suck even harder.

W-space is the same. Finding a system without at least one abandoned control tower and associated batteries is uncommon. I agree with making offline structures have much lower HP.
