To continue playing devils advocate, the vast majority of lowsec entrances that aren't near major hubs aren't camped. "danger so and so is camping the gate" is nice intel on what systems have gatecamps you can bust when you're new to an area, and who is doing them and their general level of competence. Seriously, it's free intel, even if the people doing it are dumb there's no reason to get all worked up about it. Entering lowsec doesn't always mean camps.

Confirming camps don't move? Confirming misinformation can't be placed there instead?

Seriously - if you're moving through lowsec and aren't making your own determinations (maps / scout preferably) then you're doing it wrong already.
