Hey guys.

Quick question, what is so special about that implant they find on the sleeper station ? I mean, we had cloning and exact same technology already... what changed?

Please explain because as it sounds from the trailer no one is immortal in game, which is totally untrue, capsuleers are and always were. :\

It is the cloning technology that allows the Dust Soldiers to be immortal. It is miniaturized pod technology, basically.

We need a POD to transfer out brainstuff, they dont need it anymore.

its possibly a more efficient method of cloning people, so that if can be produced on a more mass scale than the standard capsuleer tech.

Then basically we're immortal only when we are in our pods ?
EDIT: wow, fast responses. Thanks for explaining :D

correct, the neural scanner that transfer your consciousness is part of the pod.

I'd explain more about the sleeper implants and pod tech, but that'd be going into spoilers for the Templar One book

I imagine this technology will be applied to capsuleers as well. It would make sense for ambulation features. The pod will simply become an interface for pilots instead of having the additional function of having to scan a pilot's brain upon hull breach. Now consciousness will be transferred to clones upon death.

Yep. Which is why we rarely leave them.

This could also explain why we're going to be willing to mingle with the peons once WIS goes live.
