Ok, I really feel like we are losing the past of eve online. now, now, now hear me out, I'm not being an angry vet. :P

I think it would be awesome to create a website that saved screenshots of how eve used to look, just for history's sake. As it stands there is no eve online documentary about everything eve has gone through. *maybe next fanfest? 10 year anniversary documentary?*

So what I would like to do is make a slideshow website. Where you can see the old models, the trinity models and the new v3 models. all in the same 3d viewer, side by side.

AND MORE! for instance, please help me find a picture of the OLD minmatar shuttle. The current model wasn't always the model used in game, and i swear i can't find screenshots of it anywhere!

so guys, what do you think? can you post good old photos of eve online in this thread for old times sake? and to perverse eve history? so people can look back and really understand just how much work CCP has put into eve online. I think we forget sometimes how far this game has come. Even if it had bad expansions and good expansions, the fact is, eve has never stopped moving some kind of forward. Even when CCP tripped along the way, they never stop making eve always look like a brand new game, with brand new mechanics.

I can't even believe we are going to have real modeled missile launchers. in 4 years, no one will remember a time when eve didn't have missile launchers.

So before newer players forget how much work has really been put into eve, I'm going to make a website that shows off, all parts of eve. Call it a digital eve history book on game development. Do you think anyone would be interested?

*this would include alliance history, and the wars that happened in eve as well, with chapters on each part of eves life span, and then the 3d viewer for the old/new art assets compare tool. All the way up to documentation on the history of dust 514 and the incarna protests. All of this should be remembered!

My beta screenshots are all in BMP-format, too lazy to reformat them...

Funny fact: All five Amarr families had their own Region, but with Eve: Second Genesis, Sarum and Adishapur became Domain and another one. Never found out why.

I also have some cool movies though:

A website would be awesome. I actually had a trial for a few days back in '04 and I remember how very, very different it looked. The first thing I saw in station was the bounty board. I kick myself all the time for waiting years and years to start over.

see that's awesome. I will contact them and see if they want to work together to make a more.... arty site. : ) or if they let me use their history for my site research. I want to make a site anybody, even people who didn't play eve back then, would have fun going through the site.

That's also the only thing you had to notice people around you. No easy overview.

It is a very noble idea, but instead of creating an entirely new website, it would be better to create a separate page on EVELOPEDIA for the documentation.
