Yeah, that's a dumb I made on the slide. Assistance will cause you to inherit the assistee's timer, with the current amount of time they have left on it. If you're only assisting and not shooting, it'll always be the case that you'll deagress on the same second as the person you're giving assistance to.


Can the dev or someone clear this up for me

so i'm camping a gate with a logi repping me and something jumps through i kill it while i'm shooting it my logi reps me

after it dies i keep the logi repping me becuase i'm camping/getting sentry aggro

i can jump through the gate after 1 min so this means after the changes the logi can also jump through after 1 min or becuase his reps are still on me he can't until 1 min after he stops repping

which is it the logi can jump when i do or the logi can't jump untill 1 min after he stops repping (btw thats terrible if the case )

i will also take it that remote sebo's tracking etc will still be the same as logis

i totally agree with the fact that if someone reps someone you are fighting with you should be able to shoot them its faggoty that they can not be shot

but your logi should be able to jump or dock when you do
i mean if you kill someone and dock/jump why should your logi not be able to if the logi has not shot anyone

Essentially, they've made a very silly idea to appease highsec docking games mechanics.

The way Greyscale said it would work is that you inherit the timer of the person you're repping. When he stops shooting for X seconds, you are both deaggressed. Logi fleets should be able to deaggress as soon as the last person they're repping stops aggressing.
Confirming: this is exactly what was said, and we asked them about it in very precise terms.

BS1 attacks a target and takes a timer.
RR1 comes in and starts repping BS1 → RR1 inherits the exact same timer as BS1.
BS1 deaggresses and timer countdown starts → RR1 deagresses and countdown starts
RR1 keeps repping → Makes zero difference. It still has BS1's timer — BS1 sits at 40s = RR1 sits at 40s.
BS1's timer runs out and he docks/jumps → RR1's timer runs out and he can dock/jump

the reason for me posting it here is because i'm dyslexic and sifting through lots of text and pages becomes difficult and confusing for me

lots of peopl don't tend to mind over explaining things to me its there kind nature or the hidden techer in then thanks againt o teh above posters for the clear up
