In the presentation titled Brave New Module, Senior Game Designer SoniClover presented CCP’s vision and goals for module work in the near and far future.

He discussed how well the core game mechanics in EVE lend themselves to a fluid tactical and economic environment where continuing module work fuels an evolving metagame true to the ‘adapt or die’ nature of EVE. The immediate results of this ongoing project were also presented, listing changes aimed for the Inferno release. These include modules designed for short range warp, drone damage increase and fuelled shield boosters.

Much more detail will be provided in future Dev Blogs in the coming weeks and months

What about fueled armor reppers? Anything at all about active armor tanking?

I had suggested a module some time ago that would address concerns with Gallente ships lacking the ability to deal damage at comparable distances with artillery. In my proposal, I suggested a module that would have a spin up time and allow a ship to warp to another target within the overview range. I wonder if this is the idea being proposed. Additionally if CCP wanted to limit its use, they could tie the usage to cap charges, have a cool-down period, or something of a similar nature.

Guess the difference is both, shield boosters and cap booster use mid slots. IIRC I've read about armor tanks getting an adaptive resistance module shifting its "focus" based on the damage received, e.g. when hit with EM damage it will boost your EM resistance till hit with something else.

hhhmmmmm, I think that there are a lot of modules in the game that are currently broken and worthless.

I hope most of these get reviewed and rebalanced while adding more modules with other abilities.

Looking forward to it on the whole.

Adding a adaptive invoul and armor repair apilifers would be nice. also to remove the efficienty loss, when you use multple modules of the same type.

i'm REALY miss the old stuff.

Which would mean that single armor reps would drastically increase in cap/s, since currently shield booster + amplifier is roughly balanced against two armor reps.
Sure you want to go there?

i agree with gustav, the stacking penalty's gotta go. I like the idea of a "fueled" booster, it would create much more diverse tactical situations other than just capacitor usage and heat damage. also I love the idea of a mod that increases drone damage, in fact the entire drone interface and mechanics just needs a complete redesign.

oh, and every character who has never left hisec or doesn't have any pvp kills should have a giant multicolored bear on thier shipsBear

if there was a mod like that anyone could warp somewhere in the heat of battle, cancel it halfway and then if the opponent wanted to kill them they would have to be probed down and by then they could have fully repped themselves and be ready like nothing ever happened. It would be a new way of cheating death instead of actually fighting, which there are already too many ways to do thatEvil

I cant wait to see how this stuff works could be great :)

Also all of this information is on the eve fanfest 2012 live stream. There is a free version and the stream replays earlier events and news.
Im also guessing ccp will put out dev blogs n the videos will be on youtube.
