Has anyone else had issues with their EvE settings being taken out with the launcher?

I've had multiple cases, with the most recent being a less than an hour ago, where an update has been received followed shortly after by EvE losing all of my settings - the start video played, music was back, shortcuts gone etc.

Could anyone offer feedback as if this is a wider spread problem?

Happened to me as well, if CCP is going to keep doing this they need to make a ******* way to save the setting, having to re do them for all my characters is a pain in the ass especially now that each character on each account has it's own settings.

Pacher updated.... felt like I installed eve for the first time again.

Always fun.

Atleast I exported my overview settings so it's a clickity click and sorted.

Happened to me a couple of times. Go into your CCP directory and copy the settings folder from the previous TQ dir to the new one.

IMO this is some pretty sloppy coding on the part of CCP.

Oddly i just logged out of the character and back in without moving anything and the old settings came back. So try that before you start re moving stuff. I actually remember this same odd order of events from a few months back too. For some reason after some patches it doesn't recognize your settings the first login.

fixed

The issue was in the utility we use to update the launcher, it simply started the launcher with the incorrect working directory, causing any clients that launcher instance sinned off to use the wrong cache directory. So, as CCP Donut Golem stated, restarting eve fixed the issue. but now it's properly fixed, so next time we update the launcher, your settings should be unaffected.

So, you've fixed the launcher so it won't do it next time it's released? Why not release that fixed launcher so that those who have not yet updated their launcher don't suffer the same problem?
I mean, wasn't that the point of the launcher?

So it was the updater of the launcher that broke stuff? Maybe you should get a launcher for your launcher to fix that issue? That way works great right?
