Both are good. But its a matter of the skills you have.

Hype has damage bonus but you need it since you have to use the lows for some of the tank rather then Damage mods. Its got a tank bonus but thats just kinda meh since you can tank most level 4s with one large rep and good DPS. Its a great Solo PvP ship and station game ship. I do feel the Mega is a better overall ship though.

Rokh can use almost all its mids for a monster shield tank active or passive. And use all lows for damage or tracking mods. Range bonus is great for Rails or blasters.

In PVE the range bonus is better the straight damage, just my opinion. Because you can use anti out to 70km for full Optimal damage. While the Hype will have it around 30-40 Optimal with anti.

Neither. The Rokh is not a good PvE ship. The Hyperion also leaves a lot to be desired. For hybrid-weapon battleships, at the top of the food chain, you have the Vindicator, followed by the Kronos. Then the Navy Megathron. I recommend starting with the Navy Mega (unless you have the ISK right now to get one of the others). You could also simply fly the Dominix or Navy Dominix - they are both very fine options for Level 4 missions.

If you put a gun to my head, I might try something like this:

[Rokh, Rokh copy 2]

Thats pretty close to the fit i use. Its very good solid fit. You can get buy with a tech 2 xl booster or tech1 meta 4 actually.

That other guys fit hurts my soul.

Out of the box fit that's better than cookie cutter for Serps Angels Mercs and some of the other missions:

3xMFSII
2xPDUII

1x100mnABII
2xInvulnsII
3xLSEII

8xL NeutronsII

3xLCDFE I

Some numbers: 34k shields, 200 sustained omni shields, more against serps a LOT more against angels and the like.

Over 1000 dps from guns alone for 10km optimal with void
716 DPS with Null for the 40km orbiting saints and Rear Amdirals or whatnot.

Drones for frigs.

Try it some time its a laugh....

(Cap is 25 odd mins without AB or 6-7mins running everything with Void loaded. 10 mins running AB and Null for supposedly running after far away targets...)

Note no implants or such... could be tweaked, tested in this raw state and was approved for use in selected missions.

EDIT: PvP Side note: Substitute 2xpdu with 2xTEII AB for MWD and 1xLSEII with 1xHeavy Cap Booster and guess who is now heavy dps support with 25+29+29 Null range and 115k EHP, 13+10+10 with Void and 8.8+20+20 with Antimatter

Megathron is going to get you better results in a mission. The navy mega with its 8 low slots layout will allow you to not only fit more resist hardners but fit more damage and tracking mods over the hyperion's six low slots. Additionally the Mega's drone bandwith will be able to handle 5 T2 sentry drones which pushes up DPS not to mention the tracking bonus which will help you apply more damage with your rails. All that said if someone else is tanking a mission for you a Hyperion might be useful as a pure Damage ship, but not much over the Navy Mega. The Rohk's bonus to Rail's range over a damage will gimp your Level 4 running ability as Level 4's are mostly about the ability to take and deal damage.

All that said Here is a cookie cutter mission setup if you insist on using a Tier3 battleship

[Hyperion, Mission]
Armor Hardener II(mission specific)
Armor Hardener II(mission specific)
Armor Hardener II(mission specific, can be removed on some missions for another dmg mod)
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II(hardner or LAr for better tank if you need)
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II(if 2 LAR then you need CPR here)
Large Armor Repairer II

100MN Afterburner II
Tracking Computer II
Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II

350mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L
350mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L

350mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L
350mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L
350mm Railgun II, Antimatter Charge L

By gimp you mean superior in every way shape or form then sure?

Rohk with 425s will complete missions faster then a mega.

There are several reasons for this.

One is that its optimal bonus lets you use the highest damage ammo as long range ammo. Being able to hit out to 70-100 km with the highest damage is better then waiting until they get to within 40km of the megas rails.

Second Is that the Rohk is a shield tanker. You use all low slots for damage mods. While you cannot do the same as effectively in a mega. 4 mag stab Rohk mixed with long range ammo hitting things at 100 km without moving lets you finish missions faster then a mega. Most things are dead before they would could ever get into the range of the megas guns let alone drones.

Third It can out tank most any ship in a mission due to the fact it can devote all mids to tank and has a shield tank res bonus. Hell you dont need a speed mod thanks to its crazy range and lock distance it has built in. Actually you only need like 4 tank mods you can use the other slots for Tracking comps for even more range.

There is more but i will end with this little fact. You sentry drones are attack range is limited to your drone control range. They do not attack things further out then you can command them too let alone gardes have short range stats. A Rohk does not have to wait for them to get close enough to use drones or even guns. It just kills rats at the 80-100 km range they started out at. You will complete missions faster in a rohk.

Is that mega fitting you posted a joke? Its a terrible fit.

I prefer Domi's tbh. If you're running Serpentis missions, I swap to blasters for more close-range awesomeness. The singe rep version gets about 60 more DPS, but you lose about 100dps on the tank.

I found the rohk to be rather useful with a prop mod. Honestly popping things out at 120km...With guns. Ok ROF (Better than arty for sure) and then with the defense bonus decent tank. I hate warping out in missions so I prefer more tank over damage because well... In the long run it's faster to stay on the field.

Never flown the hype, but I hear dual rep or perma rep are nice so long as you have the skills.

My one gripe is the drone bay..be nice if it were 5-10m3 more.
