Hello fellow MD'ers,

I am curious to know if it is possible to somehow find out if there is some form of database that shows exactly where all items come from. This includes drops in the variety of regions but also the vast amount of items of which without asking knowledgeable players I have no idea what their origin is.

I have tried searching the net but perhaps I have missed something.

Any advice or information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Some items are seeded by CCP/NPC corps. The market orders for these items will be valid for 364 days. Example: skill books, blueprints.

Some factional items drop when NPC ships are killed.

Most other stuff is manufactured. The stuff needed to manufacture these items is generally also manufactured:)

Eventually most of the T1 stuff is made from minerals (mining) and many of the components for T2 stuff come from moon-minerals and NPCs. T3 ships need components from w(ormhole)-space.

Should be pretty easy to track the origin of one item, and I am sure a database exists somewhere for all items.

Any colour you like.

Also, since there are no loot logs like WoW, there can't be a tool like WoWHead's uploader, which means you can't really say that item X drops from Y, Z percent of the time.

Faction stuff, you have to rely on word-of-mouth to learn where it's most likely to drop.

It is all pooped out like golden nuggets into the rest of the game universe by our mysterious, yet benevolent, overlords - whose every word we hang upon and whose flatulence after a night of drinking surely smells like lavender. Also, they reside in Jove Space.

You will have to find Player made databases to find drop rates.
http://eve-survival.org/ is what I use to find out what special
drops may be in any mission/complex.

In general rats drop T1 items, drones drop alloys, faction ships drop
tags + faction loot and named ships + certain structures drop deadspace
and officer items.

This plus LP stores are a significant source of certain things. (also requires manufactured items but the lp store part is important)
