[Nullsec local] Idea

Simple idea not requiring big changes in game mechanics...

Local would be present but for some time after jumping into a system, let's say for 60-120s, no one could see who had actually jumped in. An empty portrait with question mark would appear in local and no other signs that would allow to recognize if he/she is blue or red. After 60s-120s spent in the system all info and portrait would be revealed.

That mechanic would leave the ability to see who is in a nullsec system but at the same time to do quick ambushes.

Wouldn't work, people would just assume the unidentified player was hostile until identified otherwise, just like they assume a cloaked hostile is not afk. Would end up with the entering blues making some acknowledgement in local so the locals wouldn't need to wait 2m after the jump

If I remember correctly, a combination of Eve "lore" and gate mechanics may be the reason for local in nulsec.

Lore: the gates themselves are what are broadcasting who enters/exits local.

Solution: Remove all NulSec gates and replace with truly "stable" wormholes.
No mass limits (except cap+) so they function like a gate would and not provide any LOCAL intel.

Just a wild idea

Nothing clever at this time.
