CCP if your server can't even handle the average Sunday population how do you expect to be able to service any new customers?
its simple...you can't
until you spend the money and or time required to be able to handle a larger logged on population your revenue will stagnate at best and decline at worst.
is that what you want for yourselves and your customers and your shareholders?

i thought not

now develop a strategy where in future the servers apparent 50k logged in user hard limit is no longer a factor.

good luck

*LOL*

Sure, because something like this happens every once in a while,
it automagically means that it never really works.

Like, yesterday ... 41k users online ... and it worked,
but that was probably just an illusion.

Wasn't there 50k+ for the last 6 sundays running and not a single server hiccup?

And lets not forget the 60k+ Sundays have run 100% fine in the past.

K, 'cause I'm sure any game YOU designed would have a supercomputer backing one server that's up 24/7. Go home.

why do the servers so often die on Sundays...capacity problems
capacity problems are a revenue problem
revenue problems are a shareholder problem
shareholder problems are ccp problems

ccp has a problem

Last 8 actually. Could have been last 15 if people hadn't been silly and spent the holidays with their families and/or being hung over after said holidays… P

TQ has impressive uptime numbers. Not sure it is 99.999% but it's not far off.

There haven't been that many server shutdowns in the past year as far as I can recall, they had quite a few a couple of years ago after the expansions and patches, I'd say it's much better than it was.

Kind of stuffs your ideas up OP.

Because anyone who ever reboots their server automatically goes out of business the next day.

Ever.

EVARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

We have all biomassed already as Eve will clearly not be here tomorrow. I suggest you do the same.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.
