I have no idea how you equate Incarna to the new launcher. I havent had one issue with the launcher at al.

I think this is a troll post, it has to be.

Not the scale of the failure ... just the type of failure. A half-finished product being released.

In this case the new launcher does nothing that the old "launcher" didn't do. And since the new launcher caused a bunch of problems, and some people still cannot play ... it is certainly not a success.

Time and time again I feel the need to have a job that pays enough for me to afford a plane ticket so I can fly to where ever the developer for the launcher is and slap him/her repeatedly...

I haven't launched EVE for 2-3 days, and about 30min ago I began my first attempts at launching it, got an "updating the launcher" small window, and I thought, cool, might see some changes to the OTHERWISE USELESS launcher...

Well its been a few restarts, and some cache/trash cleaning, and lo and behold, neither the launcher, or eve will start... or even the safe mode .exe... (yes i know shortcut all of them to the eve.exe, still had to say it for stupidity's sake)



I have ****** AT&T DSL, so having to run the REPAIR TOOL for ANYTHING other then DATA CORRUPTION, IE CCP mistakes, makes me WANT TO SLAP a DEV...

So heres me, starting to try the repair tool, then an out-right reinstall of EVE on my ****** ass 3Mb DSL connection... Thanks alot CCP, it may not be a deleted boot.ini file but its the next best thing... I can start windows still but I cant seem to start EVE... WELL PLAYED

Why was the launcher released without multi client support?

Why wasn't it released with bit torrent support?

Why is it using my browser to hook to the web and not is't own built-in?

Why can't I double click on the EVE.exe file and launch EVE without the launcher?

Why am I being forced to use it? I understand you want to show off your hard work on a popup I could have made in 15 minutes with AutoPlay Media Studio. But forcing me to use it is rude.



MOST IMPORTANTLY:

WHY WAS IT RELEASED WITH THE COUNTLESS BUGS REPORTED IN THE TEST FORUMS?

Incarna wasn't even half finished so your comparison still fails.

Cut CCP some slack on this one...anything they can do to make getting game fixes pushed out faster and easier is a good thing.

was it ment to stop the issue of randomly reseting the main cache folder and starting a fresh one?

cos thats anoying as hell. patch, launch eve, find out all settings are screwed, go to doc folder, remove the new settings folder. and then resart eve..
much easier than before.....lol
