I am very peturbed to read about NC. and their use of botting to fund the majority of their supercap investment after readign on evenews. CCP should launch an official investigation and ban each and every member who helped with the botting. The old ceo actually posted the whole story on evenews24. it isnt fair that groups such as this have the overwhelming odds and numbers by cheating at the game. honest players are harmed and this hinders the whole experience. after reading the story I would like to see the following members get investigated.

If you witness any of these players exhibiting botting activiy then you can right click and show info. One there click the small box in the corner and select "report bot" it is about time the large alliances quit cheating themselves into a place of power.

You ever go poking miners in highsec? You'd be surprised how many are blatantly obvious bots.

The issue is these guys are using it to an unfair advantage to increase their standings in null. This is a large alliance and they should be made an example. A list was given and it should be investigated.

Screwing an alliance in the ass through GM intervention is not how you keep a game fun. And that's the sort of list you should submit *directly to CCP*, not publicly.

I hate bots, and I would love to see NC. burn personally. But not like that.

Botting=cheating, you cheat you get banned. Whether you get screwed in the ass or not. You don't have to agree. But it isn't fun to watch super blobs purchased via illegal means.

I'd agreed with ya there, and this doesn't even affect the whole group technically. Mainly that specific corp. but it should be checked out. But when cheating has given them a distinct advantage in taking and hold space valued in the hundreds of billions of isk in ships something should be done.

Well I'm sure they did the obvious and sent it to CCP.

we've just finished with Silent Dodger's RMT empire and are moving on to UAxdeath's, but the Heroes of New Eden might find time after that for Vince and Horus' latest project

Yeah. If there is enough evidence then let CCP investigate. But they seem to fail at killing bots so maybe its time to incorporate them as a final solution to the problem.

Mining is supposed to be the foundation of EVE's economy but honestly, it's also the most boring thing you can do next to waiting on a skill to train. Everyone wants to cheat it somehow in order to do the things they like. I am all for blowing up bots but I understand what leads some people to do it. So, perhaps its time to look at solving the problem in a similar way to introducing PLEX as a counter to outside RMT.

Make it part of the game. Let CCP introduce a legal botting scheme for minig that's appropriatly restricted to prevent another puppetmaster from growing up. If done correctly it could even make the typical hi sec miner's career more fun by means of extension rather than replacement and give them excuse to do something else other than than becoming a carebear hate magnet. Just add it into the skill lists. It could open up some new jobs in ganking the competiton... And, we wouldn't have to listen to the company complain about not being able to deal with the issue, anymore.

And yeah, if I were running for political office I'd legalize pot too and put an end to the border killings. ;) And before you scream, I am allowed a crazy idea once in a while. It's in my contract.
