I didnt read to see if anyone answered this or not

Every time you minimise a window it goes to the toolbar as a blue exclamation with a mouseover for what it is.

Object window,
Overview,
Chat.

Just click the blue exclamation Icon to bring it back up?

Ooo common, you kidding me ? Where is the standard minimize of the windows ???
Why again, you are changing everything, without option, to use old behavior of minimizing windows ?? Even Microsoft are doing changes with option to use previous setup and gui clicks ! ..

Please give us back, option to use old minimizing of windows ! These blue icons with "!" inside are terrible ..
It is just one "checkbox" in Game Options !! is it so hard to do that ??? We are paying you on montly basis for gods sake

Because not everyone in this game has an operating system where minimizing the application doesn't go to the taskbar

For cryin' out loud....I guess it bears repeating.

Open the chat window, double click on the title bar, and BAM.....chat window minimized to bottom of screen and no blinky.

Thanks for that. I'am living in linux from years ! Because of EVE i installed this stupid Win. Before that ( incarma ), i was using Eve with Wine in Debian GNU/Linux Unstable. And thanks, i know about double clicking on the window title.

Thanks MeestaPenni, i know that. But, when "Chat" window is minimized like that, blincking does not work !
Actually i'm using currently chat windows like that, and check it randomly for new events.

Currently the game is 10GB, what if we put additional 2MB for this "Feature" ? It is unbelievable, that we are begging for such thing ...

I notice, that sometimes when double click on the window title, which makes rolling up ( shading ), and my chats window shade, there are "blinking" notification. Sometimes not .. strange ..

Anyway, it's seems that we must forget for this option for standard minimizing "feature" .. Good approach, keep users tight, to avoid spoiling them ! Big smile

Preferred the old way simply because minimizing chat windows used to be useful, now if I'm "lucky" I get this useless mess: http://piclair.com/data/yexkt.jpg

but usually I get this: http://piclair.com/data/yhzxm.jpg

Didn't want to access those chat windows anyways I guess...

The entire neocom stinks of :awesome:, they added stuff just for the sake of adding them like the hierarchical menus in the "eve-menu", if a UI designer tries to convince anyone that they are a good idea in 2012 he'll get fired (outside the world of software development for professionals).

And why are the ships and items icons stuck next to the ******* undock button? Who thought that was a good idea?

just double click the top of the chat window, if your chatwindow touches the bottom of your screen it will minimize there just like with the old "minimize" button

I guess, we wont get this "BIG" feature, for "another" minimize windows behaviour Lol
It is soooo hard to do it ! Thanx CCP, this is good to be known - everyone pays, but you do not care of this...

It's really horrible with 390458304958039485039485039485390853049583405934 icons on the left now. Was much much better with the old system.

I'd like to see the old minimize mechanic back in game!

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

95% probably do though, and it is prevalent throughout the computing world on a myriad of platforms, so please take your hamfistedness elsewhere.

My only problem with it is the difficulty of monitoring and restoring multiple chat windows.

Old way: you minimize a stack of chat windows, it becomes a little box at the bottom of the screen. If one of those chats is updated, the little box blinks and you know which one to click to see what was said.

New way: Every stack of chat windows disappears into the generic chat button, are not grouped by the stacking that you had, and you have to figure out which ones got updated. It's also not nearly as obvious that there was an update at all, as the button just tries to sparkle like a fake vampire instead of the easy, obvious BLINK BLINK BLINK of the old way.

New, shiny, and stupid is NOT better.

It most certainly is not - but try telling that to the Programutards who code this in.

Us: Will you listen to us when we tell you that not all of the changes that you've imposed upon our gameplay experience are for the better?
CCP: Of course not.
Us: Will you, as a company that exists on the basis of our subscriptions, do anything to even acknowledge and address the fact that what you've inflicted upon your customers is generally not well received?
CCP: Absolutely not, thanks for your money, now **** off

CCP must have someone from MS working for them. Has anyone else noticed that we now have "the ribbon", the single worst innovation in 20 years of app development? Sure, it's an E and not some funky ribbon button. At least CCP didn't randomly move familiar functions to entirely non-intuitive categories, but still. I hate the ribbon!

Why does everybody complain about every little change so much? The NEOCOM change was a long time coming and it is a huge improvement. Yes I find the minimizing thing annoying too but I am getting used to it and I don't ***** about it. Change is going to happen. A lot more change is going to happen. Get used to it and for the love of God please stop bitching about it!

Change is not always good. It's great that you're a nice little automaton, but not everyone is, so kindly depart.

I like the idea but IT SUCKS!!!

Why? Because the NeoCom is already more then half filled with other stuff. Also when minimized I used to be able to still read the name of the different panels. Now I have to mouse-over half of them just to find back my local channel.

If you're in possession of a decent widescreen and usually have over 5 panels minimized, then this new feature SUCKS

Again a prime example of CCP thinking up a nice idea and implementing it without getting some community feedback first. But ok, if you can't stand the smell of customers on the forums, THEN AT LEAST MAKE IT OPTIONAL WHEN YOU IMPLEMENT IT!!!

It's like Incarna never happened Roll

Automaton? lol...most of these changes were requested by the players. No change is not always good but complaining about everything is never good, so kindly adapt.
