Hello,
Job has me driving over the road right now, I have a WiFi capable laptop but can't seem to find any WiFi hotspots...
So far I've been in some seemingly technology lacking places like owensboro, ky...

I was wondering if anyone travels and plays eve.
I drive a semi, no hotel access, can't seem to to.d WiFi at truck stops.
My wife said some salesmen reccomended cricket wireless, and said thier 5gb / 50$ amonth package would allows me to play... But does anywhere here use them?

Ive spoken to other drivers but can't seem to find any that play games.

I had one waggon the other week with a satalite dish for his internets. Most of the cabs in the UK whip out a dish for TV and just use a dongle though.

Mobile Internet dongle will be your way to go.

Im assuming your American using the dollar and im lead to believe there are few if any signalless areas out there, in fact my only known source of information on that is that there is rarely signal when your in trouble and around dead bodies. All other times its fine.

You could also go the satellite way but how expensive is that gonna get just to play a game.

Buy a 4g subscription. Can buy a usb or can buy a phone and "tether" it.

best way is to Tether it to your cellphone and get a good dataplan

I use a UML 290 with Verizon 4g. 80 dollars a month for 10 gigs and if you are not into pron, long youtubes, and downloading movies, you would have to go out of your way to use up all 10 gigs. The UML 290 is a USB dongle and it has antenna ports. Where 4g is not available it drops down to 3g. I have played eve with TS on at the same time, and my internet connection in the computer is shared with a Linksys wireless router so that when the Verizon account is connected, my wireless LAN has access to the internet (it's a tricky setup wtih the desktop ethernet card and the USB device but I can instruct if anyone needs it).

For 80 bucks it might seem like a lot, but it's about as fast as any home connection but you can take it with you. And for me, having moved five times in almost as many years, it's great to have.

dont go with the 5g hotspot thing its ridiculous. you only get 5gigs/month for 50$ and i dont know about u but i go through 5gigs in 20 minutes....lol.
keep looking for hotspots/motels with wifi or something theyre bound to pop up. wifi is everywhere so just keep looking!
good luck with your eve on the go! (i feel your pain)

If you don't run torrents and other stuff, 5 GB can go a long way. I know someone who played Eve quite a bit on a 3G Verizon device and he never went over 3-4 GB a month. I'd suggest using free wifi as often as possible for patches and such though.
