Web based petitions- appalling service

I created this character as a means to complain about the appalling service given to customers through the web based petition service- yes I got that word right customers (these customers for the benefit of CCP customer services are the reason you have a job).

I lodged a petition appeal over 2 weeks ago as 2 of my characters hit a problem & they are unable to play the game. I have updated the same petition through the web nearly every day & I have not had a response which even borders on couurtesy. The characters affected are 5 years old & really deserve better treatment. They are banned from the game & forums pending an investigation by CCP & thus I can either use the web based petition tool or whistle. The web based petition tool should not be an excuse for very poor service. I am trying not to be emotive or flame driven when I write this but I'm absolutely fuming that CCP can take the equivalent of 10 years subs from these characters & blantantly ignore my requests for information forcing me to resort to writing this message.

What sort of message does this post send out to new people wanting to join the game?

CCP the web based petition number is 20120227-2789550-6DD6132B & if I could report you for blithering ineptness I would.

As per CCP rules I will not discuss the content of the petition on the forums or at any other source.

If you've been banned pending CCP investigation ... you were either botting, RMTing, or both.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Wrong on all counts but I will not discuss the reasons & neither should you as the reason is none of your business. This post is to highlight the poor service issue.

You do realize every time you update a petition, it goes to the back of the line, right?

And what was said above, you were either botting, RMTing or both. I have no sympathy.

Also inb4 the lock for discussing petitions on the forums.

If he has updated it each day for two weeks. Someone at CCP should at least acknowledge the petition and tell him they are investigating the situation. Ignoring the petition for 2 weeks (which by CCP's own guidelines is too long) is poor customer service.

Even if you were botting or RMT'ing, your petition to appeal your banning should at least get a "**** off, we banned you" or something...

FC, what do?

On the off chance you werern't botting/RMTing, the bastards who were and got banned will have all submitted petitions for one of two reasons:

a) **** off CCP

b) 1 in a million chance they'd get their account back

Not sure, but there is a good chance there is still a bit of a backlog from that.

There is also the chance you were an idiot and submitted it in the wrong section where it was deleted, or that your case requires the attention of a senior GM, which comes with a much longer queue.

(also the fact you could be sending it to the back of the queue by updating it all the time doesn't help)

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

so you where doing something ban-able and you expect to get better treatment than none rule breaking players?

HA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

good luck.

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

Actually I've always found the EVE's web based petitions to be a good service.

If you've been banned pending an investigation, then you won't be able to do much until that investigation is completed. Unless you can actually get to talk to them, but it will depend if they think they have real evidence or not.

However, if WoW is anything to go by, being banned does not mean you have necessarily done anything wrong. Hopefully EVE is not so quick on the ban hammer.

Got banned twice in WoW (1 month apart, even though I played for about 5 years prior to this and my style never changed) and the email said they had evidence of RMT, got both bans over turned within hours, turns out there was no evidence. Because I can play long hours (sometimes 16 hours in a day) some (probably kids) reported my character as a suspected bot. so I guess they looked at the hours and suspended the account.

I don't even use any add-on programs and never have as yet anyway.

So what I'm saying here is just because someone gets an account suspended, it does not necessarily mean they have done anything wrong. Just depends if they've got real evidence or are suspending for investigation because it looks a bit suspicious to them.

An investigation when bans are concerned takes quite a bit of time to do properly.

Count your blessings, the alternative would be a speedy "BAM, you're gone. NEXT."

You need to file complaints like this via email or petition to ccp.

People on forums dont like whiney bitches who ate all the pies so i wouldnt bother coming here.

How stuff works in real life.

You buy product/service
product/service goes wrong
ring up cusomer support
customer support isnt helpfull
file complaint to company (companies take complaints very seriously believe it or not)
in the uk if the above doesnt net results then you take it up with trading standards.

Stuff does not work like below.

You buy product/service
you **** up product/service
hope for sympathy from the internet.

Internet does not provide sympathy it provides pain and suffering.

If you look suspicious you are clearly guilty of something. That something could be as simple as wearing womens underwear when you are clearly a man. And it's just a complete co-incidence I look suspicious myself...
