Eve installer problem

Hi

I had a corruption issue in my eve client so i uninstalled and tried to reinstall a fresh d/l , but it doesnt install the game when it goes to step2/3 it keeps asking to repair . It is now 2 days and still can not install eve.

I have tried the offline installer with the 2 payload files and it does the same thing. When the executable starts it doesnt d/l it goes to verify files and again says it is corrupted and needs to repair.

Anyone know of a solution to this as i am getting no answer from petition

Does the repair tool run but is failing to fix the install?

yes all it does it continually repeat the fixing and doesn't move . I tried to d/l from main site , i tried the d/l manager for firefox and using the link in forums for metalinks and that didnt work , i also tried to d/l a previous version and again same thing repair tool would start and just keep failing .

I also found that after many repeated attempts that for some reason Eve ended up so corrupted that it actually killed my internet connection and i lost that for quite a few hours . My isp when the did a diagnose said it was getting blocked by Eve corrupted files.

I ended up getting it fixed i had to reformat my computer and once i did that i was able to reinstall the game from the site with only 1 small problem halfway thru the d/l it would lose the url link and then connection , but after restarting it then d/l no problem.

Reformatting is not so much of a hassle for me as not much on here other than games and various associated things , but i think some of you may not want to reformat , for me it was a last resort .

But at least im back in the game

Well an update

Following on from this i wrote my previous reply after doing a reformat and getting back on Eve only to go to bed and wake up later to turn my comp on and then try to log into Eve again only to have the very same problem once again .

Eve had corrupt files and then tried to reformat and couldn't get windows 7 to load it just failed with a corrupt files error . I went and sort advice finding out that the ram i had was rubbish and 90% sure it was the cause. So i take out the Ram i had bought a month ago and put old Ram back in and everything went perfectly.

So for some people u may want to check and see if your Ram is the problem as i was able to D/L Eve from the windows install link without a problem after getting some new Ram today .

The Ram i had the problems with is called Geil Black Dragon , seems after calling about 6 computer stores that it is not a favourable brand of Ram and has a bad reputation.

So to sum up maybe people might want to check their Ram and see if that is causing the problems.
