New Names! ...AGAIN?! o.O

"Adaptive Invulnerability Field II" ?!?

"EM Ward Field II" ?!?

"...roughly 2k others" ?!? (did not count, but the list was LONG)

...my list of market order all a mess, again!


When did CCP change the names of those roughly 2k items?!

I allways read the patch notes very carefully, and I did not see this!

Not that CCP would stop for me, and most of the new names make no sense, again, but they could have put it in the patch notes...

(New CCP budget cutting! : Patch note now run by interns, so in line now with coding, design and so on (all run by interns allready))

I didn't see this in the notes either and am very disappointed, especially in the shield module renames. I don't understand why they're insisting on these name changes for everything when they were just fine and people learned them just fine/

The new names are so bland and dumbed down... the old names were cool and sci-fi-ee. Why don't they just put the meta level/max meta level in the bottom icon's corner or something..

Hey, me and a dozen other posters fought hard to get the names fixed and moving foward stop complaining.

And when we shot this down in the Dev blog thread about it they said they would reconsider.

I guess they really don't care what we think. I like this game but I'm really tired of getting pissed on.

I went to buy an invlun last night and was WTF is an "adaptive" invulnerability field??

HELLO CCP!

CHANGING THE NAMES OF THINGS SO NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE IS FIXING NOTHING!

NOTHING!

Honestly, I'd rather you guys fire more redundant coders than do this idiotic busy work to justify someone's paycheck
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HAS A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE PEOPLE WHO PAY YOU NOW!

sod future players, I want to be able to understand the everyday **** in a game I've been playing for years

I hope someone sneaks into your apartments and rearranges the furniture and relabels your itunes collections

I agree that all the renaming is getting a tad silly. Took me about 10 seconds to figure out what was what again but still, what's the point of all the renaming?

"To err is human", but it shouldn't be the company motto...

Read the ******* dev blogs and patch notes. Most of your questions will be answered there!

It's mildly irritating, with killboards and tools like eveHQ now needing another update. But it's not exactly the end of the world and at least it's still obvious which is which, unlike when they changed prop mods' names Roll

type in upgraded on the market and you will see how fantastic this naming stuff is, why the old one was no good - ccp hates us .

I never even noticed anything had changed until I saw the forum whines.

Why are people pissed about this again? Killboards broken? IIRC those things fall over when the weather changes anyway so what's so different this time?
