THE FBI has arrested a member of the LulzSec hacking group suspected over a cyberattack earlier this year on Japanese giant Sony, officials say.

FBI agents arrested the suspect, named as Cody Kretsinger, 23, of Phoenix, Arizona, "without incident," said US Attorney in Los Angeles Andre Birotte Jr and Steven Martinez, head of the FBI's Los Angeles office.

Given that LulzSec ddos'd Eve, I thought it might be of interest to some. Obviously not your good self.

I do however appreciate you taking the time to read the quite obvious title and still post on the subject.

I am posting mainly to LolLolLol at this thread, but felt that I should read the article so as I could post an informed statement.

First I find it funny that the only evidence that was mentioned in the story was permanently erased from the defendants hard drives LolLolLol.

Secondly, I cemented the thought that I really do not care as well Lol

Not true theirs other trace evidence left around between routers, and other systems. They also hacked their IRC channels (Which are used to control bot nets as well) and record their conversations. It's also illegal to hijack routers which they surely did.

AND!!! unless you completely 0 out your hdd. You can still recover data.

Also the lulsec guys just used a tool that has google go through and automate sql attacks. (You can download it) though SQL injection is completely preventable so who ever had it done needs to fire their DB guys.

Was this the case that brought to light the Stingray tracking system? I know there's always been rumors out there but I hadn't read anything mainstream about it until the last few days. I guess those paranoid peoplein movies who use and toss cell phones like they're toilet paper had the right idea all along.

Watch as they try to give this guy more time in prison than would be given to a child molester.

It will be the usual indication of where government priorities stand.

But overall I am not thrilled of hearing about anybody being charged with anything these days.
