Problems with the Launcher - And how to work around them - Hopefully temporarily????

So, after I updated my eves, my launcher wouldn't let me get into my settings menu so, I went into the eve\launcher\cache directory and modified the settings.yaml file (this is a text file so, notepad worked fine) Inside, I found the following:

Settings:
CloseLauncherAfterStartingClient: false
DeletePatches: false
DownloadThrottling: 0
Language: en-us
NumberOfDownloadThreads: 10
OnlyShowLauncherOnUpdate: false
SendLogs: true
StartInSafeMode: false


I changed it to the following because a) I don't want the launcher to remain open after my game started and b) I really don't need to see the launcher unless there's an update:

Settings:
CloseLauncherAfterStartingClient: true
DeletePatches: false
DownloadThrottling: 0
Language: en-us
NumberOfDownloadThreads: 10
OnlyShowLauncherOnUpdate: true
SendLogs: true
StartInSafeMode: false


So, there's the solution for that problem. Now, I've run into another problem. I started up my game, and it says that there is a launcher update...ok, fine...it updates, the client loads, the client says that there is another update to that too (btw - wasn't the launcher supposed to end all of this? Run the launcher and we should no longer see this?) Now, when my game starts, it starts in fullscreen mode and it starts out like I have a fresh install of the client!!!! (WTH!!!!) To bypass this launcher crap, I'm going to the eve\bin directory and starting the exefile.exe to play my game with all of my settings. When I looked in the eve cache, it seems to be creating a new directory with a ~1 like in the old dos days of the 8+3 days.

Hopefully, CCP can fix this soon.

We fixed an issue with the Launcher earlier on related to patches and the settings window that should be resolved now in the lastest version.
