It must take a lot of dedication (or unhealthy obsession) to play a game with spaceships, and then decide to make actual spaceships.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

yes, but clearly they are carebears, otherwise the entire thing would be made out of duct tape and rust.

In both cases (eve as well) they are named after rolls royce aero engines. They are probably the greatest aircraft engines ever made, powering half all allied aircraft in world war 2 (spitfire, hurricane, mustang et all).

RR piston engines were named as follows - Falcon, eagle, buzzard, vulture, merlin (most famous) , kestrel, hawk, condor, Griffon. The only RR engine names not now caldari ship names (yet) are the goshawk and the perrigrine.

My company makes the Raven and the Helios.. SpaceX, my company, and CCP follow the tradition of naming flying things after birds, gods, and other cool things.
