I use my iPad2 on EG frequently and have noticed today that whilst I am in my profile or inbox areas, my session is reset and I am taken to a login screen to re-login. Is this a cookie issue?

Could it be some script that checks for mail causing a session timeout?

This issue seems to be consistent however does not appear to affect the forum area of EG.

I have tried restarting Safari, the iPad, clearing cache and cookies.

It's quite frustrating because I have to be quick with my email replies and if I am not, I loose my message.

Thanks -- Cyb.

I've got a 1st gen ipad and I don't have that issue, however if reply to a mail I am limited in the number of characters and the original message isn't even quoted in the reply.

Mine will stay logged in even if I quit safari or lock the screen, so maybe I'll try to restore the ipad and see if that has any effect on my issue.

That's interesting. I'll try another reboot. I've not really ever restored my iPad but I remember I did update it or something once. I'm not entirely sure. Hopefully a reboot will straighten it out but I'm not holding my breath.

I hope yours works out, that restore thing sounds scary to me, I have so much stuff on my iPad :D

I forgot the ipad at work so I didn't get a chance to restore it yet, but it's not scary at all. If you have it backed up it puts your data and apps back on it as you had it. I get some odd behavior on craigslist with it too, so I'm due to try something.
