I think it would be cool if the owners of 0.0 space could build new stargates or reconfigure the existing ones.

For reconfiguring, I'd say limit it to own territory and not many light years from the default link.

For building new ones, no distance limit as long as it is own territory (no WH system can be claimed).
So if an alliance holds space on the other side of the universe, they can build a stargate to link the 2 distant regions, thus minimizing time and fuel consumption for deploying (ofc capitals cant use them, so it's a nerf to capital warfare).
Maybe give the ability to the owners to charge/deny others the use of the new built stargates.

If sov is lost, the new stargates go inactive and the links are lost, npc built ones are reset to the default link.

I don't suppose you've ever heard of jump bridges. They're pretty much exactly what you're proposing and they already exist.

They do have a range limit however, but not having one would be asinine.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

His point? Pros and cons? Are you a troll?

His point was, these "player built stargates" that you're suggesting are already in the game.

Pros: they work
Cons: you're an idiot

because foprce projection and troop movement already amkes eve VERY VEY SMALL.

adding this woudle ffectively allow ANY 0.0 alliance to just throw their subcaps everywhere, and not even need a titan to bridge anymore.

we have Jump Bridges, whcih aklready are pretty OP in force projection, we dont need super-stargates.

summed up in a word, its asinine.
