I had a problem with scouting and decided to buy a portrait monitor that looks like this

my question is why this monitor LG IPS231 is so good for EVE !!!
I have tested EVE on last generation led monitors , on Sony BRAVIA tv ...
but this one giving so so so great picture when playing EVE that I have never seen anywhere

I've been playing EvE on the large screen in Time Square, but you won't see me boatin about something as trivial as that.

Have you tried messing with the colour or 'temperature' settings on your other monitor?. Might be your new one is in 9300 colour mode or whatever it's called.

Why is it so good for EVE?
Because IPS technology is better for color and clarity than LCD TN displays and playing EVE doesn't require a low response time like in FPS games. In fact I don't know anyone that can tell the difference between 6ms and 2ms response time so IPS is just the superior monitor technology atm. It's just that IPS costs more so LCD/LEDs are still the best bang for your buck for now but in 6-12 months we'll hopefully see cheaper IPS screens and everyone will start using them instead of LCD/LED TNs.
