I guess this discussion has been brought up by a lot of people but i was wondering is there ANY chance that you could consider lowering the time for the current remap function? I can understand the decision made a long time ago but it has been a very LOOOOONG time since we have a 1year remap commitment and i was wondering with the new changes to the ship functions and purposes isn't there any way that you could lower the remap function from 1year to 6 months commitment? Let's face a lot of people will be done with what they need to train in 6-9months why isn't it possible to change the remap for so LONG.

To annoy people

and as most of us are hateful social recluses and we like other people to share our pain.

6-9 months by the three remaps you start with is your training taken care of for the first 1.5 to 2.25 years. And even then you will still have another remap banked at the end of that.

Do you truly believe that's not enough?

Well to be honest it does look like Mr. epeen solved our problems, much like an E-peen should.

But there are alot of trees in EVE and different roads to go down. So more remaps would help in that aspect. In a general aspect the remaps I have suffice. But that won't take leadership into account as well as making the T2 ships awkward to train for as well. Plus some more general awkwardness as well.

Remember picking your race and bloodline, and being stuck with whatever attributes they came with?

Then i guess some people like to live under a rock and maybe when your 80years old maybe you accomplished something in this game eventually. Keep forgetting that EvE is not a "game" more like a self punishment game.

That's always a good way to talk to people who disagree with what you say, it doesn't show you to be an entitled little snot one bit.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Then I guess some people don't actually play the game, and training skills is the only thing they'll ever accomplish. Don't worry about it too much though. Judging by CCP's past performance, their next step will be to give everyone max points in all attributes and remove remaps entirely. Someone will still complain that they're not training fast enough.

I remapped today. First time since I was created 2009-02-23, and I didn't even know what attributes did when I first assigned them. Goodbye 15 charisma forever.

I should be good for another 1-2 years, and I still have 4 bonus remaps.

I don't consider myself typical, but really having 2 bonus remaps and an annual remap should be enough for anyone.

I'm with you on this; six months is long enough; for 75 quid or so, I have paid for a remap. Or if you want to screw the paying player base, free remap with every six month subscription bought.

Hell. It takes a baby nine months to gestate. Think of how long it'd take you to grow another lobe...or see a sizeable increase in the ones you have...barring severe head trauma, of course.
