Anyone got a link to standard pvp overview set up? I've been messing around with it for a while but would like some input from the more experienced pilots.

How you set up multiple tabs? mine seem to just clone.(aka same as all the other tabs)

How many tabs you like?

friendlies tab

hostiles tab

drone tab

capital tab

etc.

Ty in advance for the help.

GTFO (planets/belts only)

You set them up the same way you setup the first tab - select the tab, open overview, edit filters/etc and save the settings with a different name for each tab.

Then last tab in overview settings lets you select tab/bracket settings for each tab.

I like to us the EVE University Overview Guide then tailor it for my specific tastes. At the very minimum I have a normal tab, mining tab, fleet tab, and a tab that has EVERYTHING enabled!

Tabs -
PvP (with gates/stations)
PVP (w/o gates stations)
PvP + blues
PvP + militia
Everyone
Drones
GTFO (celestials, stations, gates)
BS only
Caps only
Frigs only
Loot (wrecks cans etc)
Plexing (NPCs and such)


I have few more saved as well but cant remember them atm
Also make sure you get the proper columns set up as well, that Eve Uni wiki is helpful stuff.

Its an awesome start for creating a huge set of custom overview tabs. I would double check that probes are enabled if you are planning to use these for PvP.

As you start to dabble with the overview you may want to play with the brackets option as well.

Example:

I have a set of overviews like the following:

1 - PvP + drones ( no brackets at all, just ships with -5 and worse standings on it plus all drones on the overview )
2 - PvP travel ( I have all brackets on for this one, again -5 and worse ships, no drones on overview, I include gates and Jump bridges )
3 - Utility ( this one changes all the time, here is where I keep the current OV I want loaded, usually it includes probes, wrecks and all neutral or worse ships, all brackets again, celestial beacons, etc. )
4 - Fleetmates ( no brackets again, only fleetmates and blues on the OV, no drones )
5 - GTFO ( no brackets, only planets and moons on the OV )

Your bracket profile can be different from your overview profile so your tabs can include the different combinations for different things.

For my 1+5 tab, I have the option to display brackets turned off entirely but on the other tabs I load the bracket profile of choice.

Assuming they're the old BoB ones (last I downloaded) then they're pretty dated and also heavily fleet oriented.

There used to be a good online overview creator (Balss Industries?) but it appears to be dead now Sad

TBH what is required is a set of peer-reviewed/sourced templates that can go somewhere/be linked on this website.

Brother Benthors are the closest we currently have but I do remember looking at them a year or so back and thinking they weren't a great deal of use for solo/small gang. Hardly surprising when you think about why he created them.

Join the OUCH-UNI channel and ask them about their first training module. They cover the UI and help you customize it for PvP.

You may like the class enough to complete the rest of them... I did. It's free and they have a regular schedule (mostly weekends).

I fly in small gangs. This is what I have (it's still a work in progress):

PVP - non-fleet/non-corp ships and drones only)

Warp-to - what others call GTFO

Transit - all ships, drones, gates and stations, I use this when I'm moving about so that I can move quickly and know what's on-grid

Everything - I'm primarily a cloaky pilot and it's crucial that I can quickly see EVERYTHING close by to avoid being decloaked by random crap on the grid.

Misc - This is my utility tab that I change according to use. I have settings like "POS structures only" and "salvage" that let me quickly jump between views on this tab.

Hi. I think you got a strange bug which i encountered 2 weeks ago. In some strange situations (not always reproductive), like add drones to default overview and change on pvp overview, when delete a tab from overview and a add new standard one (pvp, loot, etc) they just keep cloning default tab. I fixed that resetting my overview settings (loss all your customization of your overview) and adding new tab from predefined preset (pvp, loot, warpto, etc).

I think your problem here is how you are trying to set up the tabs. This drove me crazy until I figured it out. If you right click and remove or add things from the overview screen it will clone across all tabs. If you set up each individual tab through the overview settings option you shouldn't have a problem.
