According to most astronomers 2012 DA14 will NOT hit us. It will pass the earth at about 27.000 km.

honestly, considering how cluttered the area around our planet up to geosync orbit is, if it passes that close it'll probably get "dirty" with some spacejunk or even knock a few operational satellites or smth.
