My computer is about 5 years old, good hardware at the time tho.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 Ghz - Asus P4B Deluux is the motherboard if your wondering.
4Gb Ram x64 Window 7
Amd - ATi 6850 1GB GDDR5
1 x 1TB WD
1 x Intel SSD 80GB

Standard Keyboard and Microsoft laser mouse...

Best thing about it is the 42" LG displaying it =) 1080p eve is where it's at!

Sure, I know it's a Frankenstein of a pc, but it works perfect, Never ran into a game I couldn't run full power.

oh, so you got the "Minmatar" themed PC Cool

Yeah, but does it have ::REALLY BIG MACHINE-GUNS(TM):: and a MicroWarpdrive gaffer-taped to it?

Star Wars: the Old Republic may not be EVE. But I'll take the sound of dual blaster-pistols over "NURVV CLAOKING NAOW!!!11oneone!!" any day of the week.

If you're going for single box then I strongly recommend 2 screens. Or 3 if you run more accounts.

Having dotlan, killboards, intel and other stuff all up without having to minimise client stops your brain from mushing or embarrassing losses while you look at stuff on the interweb.

My system:
Intel i5-2500K overclocked to 4.2GHz
12GB (2x4GB + 2x2GB) 1600MHz RAM
Nvidia GTX 570 1280MB, also overclocked
96GB SSD
1TB HD
Win7 64-bit Home Premium
23" LCD, 1920x1080 res, all graphics options maxed

When I finally do make an impact on this universe, it will reverberate across the entirety of it, and no one will be able to truthfully claim they don't know me. - -

Until then, I'll just sit quietly over here, minding my own business...

Here's what I recently built. It can easily run 5 clients at once on max graphics settings.

Gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3 motherboard
Intel I7 2600K proc
16GB of Corsair XMS DDR3 2000 MHz RAM
EVGA Classified GTX 590
OCZ Vertex 2 SATA II SSD as the game drive

This pushes two Dell 27" monitors

Now I have a 2008 machine with 4gb ram, a 4850 hd and an E8400 that should run at 2.8ghz. But the piece i'm most proud if is the power supply. Never underestimate the importance of a proper power supply. I had to change my mind about this, once I thought that a ****** power supply would do the job, but now with these graphic cards around you need a good supply in order to have a long lasting machine.

Before the one that I have now, I had not a "proper" computer. I had a set of hardware pieces put on my desk, out of any case, at the left of the keyboard and screen, à la "dead cockroach", with only Linux installed. I had a screwdriver I used to turn it on, just by short-circuiting the right pin pair. On the right days, with the right weather, you could even see a spark. It was nice because when it was not willing to start up, I could just move the ram chips a bit and it worked; and when it was doing something I had to wait for long, instead of staring at the screen you could stare at the fans and the hardware, that looked much better.

The old days.

That was a real Minmatar machine.

In a nutshell...

i7 965 on Intel DX58SO
12GB Kingston RAM
2x Asus HD6990
3x 27" + 1x 24"

Runs 6-8 clients no prob. Perfect for carebearing. And RL stock trading. And Skyrim (While it lasted).

Was a little lean on the RAM when multiboxing 6+ but since Crucible 1.2 that issue's gone.

X48, Gigabyte mobo
4 GB DDR 3
x5870 AMD graphics, 1 GB DDR5
Creative X-fi fatality, PCI

Got that somewhere around 2008, with minor upgrades afterwards. Still fast and stable.

WARP DRIVE makes eve boring

really - add warping align time 300% on gun aggression and eve becomes great again
