EDIT: please just do the tutorials at least (!!!!!!)

All your exploration questions are answered without someone needing to tell you because you won't run them.

Danny, I want to help you, but without trolling, can you help yourself a little, as well?

Many (all) of the questions you have asked are either covered in the opening tutorials or in one of many (many) guides out there. I am saying this because, at this rate, this thread will be at 10 pages before you fly a cruiser and you won't have learned much because you'll get *basic answers to basic questions* and won't be asking the smart questions.

This is a completely free guide that covers everything you've asked and every answer you've been given in more detail : http://www.isktheguide.com/

Once you've at least read the basics, you won't be asking some very basic things.

I only say this because no one is going to sit in this thread and answer everything that pops into your head unless you (at some point) show some initiative to learn yourself. Eve is a game where you will have this many questions every day for weeks or months; you need to educate yourself.

Thanks man il go trough that. I read all of the tutorials and stuff in game but i haven't really bothered to search for lots of guides aside from a few wiki articles. I don't mean to be a handful i just wanted to understand the basics of this game so that i can start to play it properly.

EDIT: I have done all the tutorials including the missions you are provided after you finish the very basic ones from Aurora. I have read most of the tutorials multiple times. I just ask questions which answers i didn't find in those missions.

IIRC the questions about exploration (how to run sites, what each type is, etc) are covered in the exploration tutorial. No worries if you missed it, information overload etc.

You can re-run any of them (and I mean the actual hands on tutorials, not the inbuilt guides) by visiting the appropriate agents. A list is here : http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Tutorial_Agents

Make sure you do Military, Advanced Military and exploration at the minumum. Perhaps the mining / industry ones if you develop an interest along those lines.

After that, you will be getting told to go see "sister Altiura" (or however that is spelled) which you *absolutely should do* - just head to Arnon, dock in the "sisters of eve" station and speak to her.

You learn a lot on that arc, and it's mostly the value of working with other people ;)*

* a couple of the missions are nigh on impossible for new players to solo, so find a friend

Ok. Do all those sites exist in the area of the system or are they only accessible by warp? What i mean is.
Example. Im standing next to a random planet in a random system. I scan a gravitometric site approximately 10 AU from where im standing. Assuming that im am directly aligned to it is it theoretically possible to reach it by setting my ship to full throttle in its direction?

Stuff in system is only accesable by warp, either way.

To get to your example:

10AU = 1 495 980 000 000 meters

Let's say your ship moves 250 meter / second

this means 10 AU takes 5 983 920 000 seconds which is 69 258 days.

Again, what Khanh said, do the tutorials and career agents and read what they tell you, most of the stuff we explain is told there on the exploration stuff and navigation and the ISKguide he linked is a great way to learn the basic.

EVE is about learning stuff, asking and getting every single thing handed is nice, but eventually you don't have any idea how it works or why you do stuff like you are doing it as all you know is that you do it cause someone told you how to do it.

Even though ive finished all the missions in the university in Trossere. The industry, military, adv military etc. I wasn't sent to a different location(I double checked non of the agents have any missions for me). How do i get to Arnon? I can't seem to find it on the map.

Every one of the agents upon completing all the missions for them will tell you about Arnon, and how you need to be going there.

A dummies guide to going somewhere:

- Type "arnon" in the chat box
- highlight, right click, search for solar system
- accept arnon

You now have an orange link. Right click, set destination.

alternatively, hit the places and people neocom link (the bar at the side.)
There's a search option. fill in Arnon, and change the drop down to solar systems. it'll bring up a small box where you can select the system, then right click and set destination.

Ok thanks i made it there. Is there any way to transport all of my ships to that station? The only way i see this happening is if i buy a shuttle, fly to the system i came from, take a ship fly it to the new location, buy another shuttle, repeat.

Ahh, the common 'I have a bunch of ships scattered across the universe' problem.

Pretty much you've got it. Or you pay someone with a freighter to move them for you. One way to cut down on the number of shuttles needed is, fly over in an industrial, with a bunch of packaged shuttles in the cargo. Then fly back in a shuttle. move a ship, fly back, move a ship, fly back in the industrial, repackage the shuttles, then take them to the new location.

For the Sister's of Eve Arc though? Just take the one ship. You'll be doing a /lot/ of traveling. Over a hundred jumps in total. (I've not counted. It's probably more).

I've got stuff all over the place. It's not a big deal.

Hmz, over my 2 main characters I have assets in about 100+ stations all over empire and null-sec. Can't be bothered with it as your assets has got a search string, so I just type in the item I want to find out where I left it (and if multiple items, where the closest one is).

And for the SoE Epic Arc, just take 1 or 2 frigates and a destroyer and you have all the stuff you need.
This epic arc will make you move a lot (you will be visiting all 4 empires) so don't just ship everything you own to Arnon cause as soon as you completed the epic arc you will move to your next spot to do what ever you like to do.

Saw someone post this a while back on forums: Ships in EVE are just tools, they help you do stuff you like to do.

someone actually remembers something i posted Shocked, that must make me eve famous like chribba and that nice fellow in jita that doubles your isk.

but seriously one of the best things you can do at this point is find a corp to play with, they don't have to be the best at anything you just need a group of people who are interested in seeing you do well and who can give you some quick insight into all these little questions you have. then if there are any questions that that are unable to answer to your satisfaction then we are here on the forums to help with that.

For the tristan pack two blasters and two rockets launchers.

Unfortunately the tristan is one of the ships that splits its hard point use and then has bonuses for only one of its weapons.

If you want to more effectively apply any gun skills you have acquired give the Incursus a try.

Its also not bad for a starter pvp ship.

This tool explains turrets better than anyone can in one sitting for 5 hours straight talking to you.

Just wanted to point out that link is about the old Tutorial Agents who offered a 2 part mission series called 'The Endless Battle'. Those Agents are no longer active since Aura New Player Experience has single handedly ended 'The Endless Battle'.
Sad

The basic Aura NPE Tutorial can be accessed through Eve Help (F12) at anytime. The Event_Agents referenced are known as Career_Agents. Each Faction has 5 different Career Agents located in 3 different systems for a total of 15 agents per Faction. It's a good idea to complete 1 set of 5 Career Agents to gain hands on experience as well as all the various skillbooks, ships, modules, ISK, etc.

There's been a lot of good advice offered in this thread, however, it seems that the Evelopedia wasn't mentioned. It has a lot of info and guides available in it.

Anyway, just remember that this game is designed for long term play. In other words, take your time. You won't be able to learn and retain everything within your first few weeks. I've been playing for almost 4 years and I still learn new things everyday. Above all else, enjoy yourself and welcome to Eve.
