Hey all, just started playing EVE and was looking to join up with an active, helpful, and friendly corp. Like the above says, I want to be a miner, not really ready for the whole ship combat thing right now. If you feel you have a place for me in your corp let me know. Thanks!

Without operations like mine it would be impossible for certain Alliances to conduct a respectable war. There are three basic types of arms deal: white, being legal, black, being illegal, and my personal favorite, gray.

Hey check out Ton of Bricks. Close knit group that can teach you about mining and feeds into a null sec corp should you want that at some point. CEO is Rhistel Stormshield.

Okay, I'm letting you know that we have a place for you. But really, what are YOU looking for in a corp? An "active, helpful and friendly" only goes that far to describe a corporation. I WOULD say we're active, helpful and friendly, but if you don't talk to us, you won't know for yourself. I don't know any of the other corporations that have replied to your post, but I have no doubt they consider themselves active, helpful and friendly as well.

In order to try and help you make a decision, I'll tell you something about my corporation, although you can read more on both my bio and on my corp-page. Avitus Lugus is a small-medium sized corporation, where co-operation is the keyword. We mine our own ore, process it into minerals, which we use to build stuff to fulfill orders. Othertimes we sell the minerals in order to gain the cash to buy more advanced materials for t2 orders. We hold mining operations together, try to make long-term plans for our corporation and ourselves, as well as provide a comfortable environment. We've had experience with rookies before, and in fact, most our members started at us as rookies. After 8 months they are still standing by our side, and I'm proud to call them my friends. We are mainly Nordic players (Denmark, Norway and a single one from Germany), so our timezone would be central European, or roughly 17.00-22.00 EVE time.

As I said, you can read more on my, and our corps, bio. If you're interested, then visit us in-game at our public channel "Dawning Light" or send me a mail.

A final note, remember to explore your options a little. talk to a few corporations and then find the right one for you. It'll look bad if you in a few months time has been in 10-15 corporations or more. Rather stay in an NPC corp for a week more while you get to know those you MIGHT end up playing with, than join and realize they don't live up to your expectations. And if all else fails, join EVE University to get a feel for the game. No one will look down on you for having spent time there.
