They can moderate a post for any reason they like actually, it's their forum.

If they choose to they could lock this thread because:

You evaded the profanity filter.
You are discussing moderation.
You asked them to.
Or for no reason at all.

I went back to find the question/rumour post made by none other than the usual Rens house buffoon (who has unsubbed/subbed/unsubbed/subbed so many times my head is spinning)

The issue was not the CONTENT of question/rumour. It was the INTENT of the question/rumour.
