The penlties of leadership

In every field of human endeavor, he that is a strong leader must live in the spotlight. In office, in art, literature, and public service-the rewards and the punishment are nearly identical. The rewards for good service in office are widespread recognition and discussion, for failure fierce denial and detraction. It can become difficult to tell which is which at times.

When a mans work becomes a standard for the rest of the world, it also becomes a target for the venomous attacks of the envious few. If his work is merely mediocre, he will be left alone to stew in a sea of mediocrity. If he has performed a masterpiece, both his fans and detractors will celebrate and loudly protest. Jealousy does not protrude it's forked tongue at a man with commonplace achievements.

When you gank, grief, or take it upon yourself to balance mechanics or change the game, no one will strive to surpass or to bother slandering you-unless your work is stamped with a unique quality. Long after great works are accomplished those who who are disappointed or envious will continue to cry out the inequities of the men responsible for works that surpassed the mundane.

The small minded men cry out that nothing was changed, even in the face oncoming revisions. The leader is assailed because he broke new ground as older ways gave in to new, and a new day breaks.. Failing to equal or excel a mans contribution, the followers seek to depreciate or destroy the validity of his works. This only confirms once more the quality of the deeds done. When they show their fear, greed and ambition in such a lowly manner, it only cements the reputation of those slandered and proves their worth.

Good deeds make themselves known -no matter how loud the clamor of denial. Be not swayed by the lies and slander of those who oppose but rather accept the truth-that a good effort was put forth. When YOU-the people of Crime and Punishment-elected me, I made three promises. I promised to have fun, to gank at least one person a week while in office, and not to make a mockery of the Council of Stellar Management. I have kept these promises.

I have done my best to represent us to CCP, our needs for a more balanced system were put forth in a judicious manner. I have come under intense scrutiny even as I tried to thwart the machinations of those who would pervert the CSM towards the goals of their corporations, alliances and even their own oversized egos. Many candidates claim to represent a broad player base, or bring new ideas to the table. Many others claim to be the "Anti-Mittani." Their promises and claims ring hollow to my ears.

I ask you, residents of the only worthwhile Sub-Forum in Eve, to again support me as your candidate for CSM. The road to another term will be a difficult one, and the price of failure high. Will you travel that perilous road with me once again, that we may continue be the voice of dissent against a sanitized and sterile CSM with the vast majority of the candidates serving as silent "yes-men" to the chairman? I can not reach for the brass ring, and the right to reject injustice, without you.

Hmmm

This year, I am also asking for volunteers. I could use a few guys and gals to help me "get the word out"Pirate(wink wink, nudge). I will pay actual ISK for volunteers and I will need people to spend time in space to help me. If you did it last year-you know the tears were epic and we got results. It was YOU GUYS that got me my post, and I need the help this time more than ever. I know what it takes to win again, and it will be a tough race, but I am holding a few nice trumps that I will play just as voting begins. Thanks in advance-if you have questions-as always mail./.convo me in game and I will be happy to address any inquiries.

In an effort to have fun, get publicity and help people make some iskies-I will again have 'open gank' sessions where ALL the proceeds-100% of the drops will go to the shooters and no shares will be taken save for ship losses for our brothers who get bad drops/countered. Last years payout was close to 4 BN isk in 3 days and we did pretty good. Obviously looking for a repeat performance ISK-wise in this round.

Thanks in advance-hope to see you in a Tornado soon, and I will be getting in touch with partisans first then posting the open gank dates-all welcome! If you cant fly tornado, we can use tackle or just remote boosting if you don't have sec to burn. D3

Anyone the Goons hate as much as you is either a real asshat, or a pretty cool guy.

Giving CCP that giant Monocle was pretty chill Idea. And the tears from the bears were like a tidal wave. Other than rampant altposting in your own thread I am on board for all of it. +1

Without the support of C+P , CCP would not of had the opportunity to be presented with their most prestigious award to date

For that I salute Each and every one of you who supported D3 and his endeavours

With an even greater support this year he can get even more of his fine work accomplished

+1 from me

I flew with Darius III for a long time. The gyu definately knows the game better than almost anyone-he better as he doesnt work and plays Eve 18 hours a day. He is a dedicated guy and I laugh when I see all the GSF tears in his threads. When do we vote?

As I had to drop from the running myself due to me not having a passport already (grumble) I'm recommending the few who planned to vote for me, vote for Darius instead. He's passionate about making Eve a more accessible game without dumbing it down and he has a clear understanding of how the game works...and where it doesn't. Most importantly, he'll have an honest discussion on subjects when you don't agree and will even consider alternatives to his own ideas if you can make a decent argument.

Honestly, you lost my votes with your annoying long winded crap in the first post. You are a pirate and suppose to represent us as such. Save for Guybrush, what pirate wasted time with such speech? It seems you spent more time trying to justify why you recieved flak for you choices instead if outlining those choices.

In other words, instead of flowery rhetoric, tell us what you actually plan to push for. That would convince me far better then.somecrap justification that makes you sound like a pompous wind-bag.
