CCP ExeFile not closing properly

Since the first Incarna patch I keep experiencing the following issue:

Whenever one of my clients is closed, whether intentionally or not and regardless of method (crash, close by shortcut, close by 'quit game' or 'log off' in esc screen, close via win7 interface), about 1 out of 5 times the ExeFile.exe will merrily keep on running and hogging about 20-40% CPU and ~500MB RAM until I manually nuke it out of the Task Manager. It does not terminate on its own after client is closed, even hours later.

Is this a known issue and is there a workaround?
