Corp standing?

a friend of mine had 8.01 standing with Caldari and we wanted to setup a pos in highsec.
so i looked on the forums and on google and found out that if you create a new corp and wait 7 days before letting anyone else in corp, the corp will get your standing. so we created a new corp and only he was in it for 7 days now but the corp still has 0 standing in anything.
anyone knows why?

Wait one more day. Sometimes it takes a downtime to properly update.
