CCP Punkturis has been working on a new font for EVE Online and has written a blog about it. Much like the new font, her blog is very readable and can be found right here.

Let us know what you think about the new font in this comment thread, and when the new font is available on SiSi, we have a special issues thread ready for you right here.

Indeed, It will take some getting used to. It looks nice though! The F seems as though the top has been cut off though!

I don't know if it's an intentional troll or not but the constantly changing font in the devblog is a little annoying imo.

Which F? I don't see it!

We're still working on it though, as some may have noticed, the new "test note" is a newer screenshot than the "new esc menu" Smile

This is something that comes standard with EVERY game, and should have been implemented 8 years ago. Am I really supposed to be exited? This was the hyped up "big news"? What a disappointment.

Just goes to show how neglected this game has been if such standard things are such an achievement.

Have you considered using 'small caps' for menus? It is very legible and doesn't scream as much. Plus the lessened text height of small caps makes them take up less space on the screen than Caps & lowercase since they lack descenders.

The obvious place to see the F is the log off button. I don't think it's a UI thing though, just the way the font is. Still. The F does look as though the top has been cut off!

I to oppose change in any way while lamenting that things never get done and still expect progress in every field of EVE right now.

I wish to make bitter comments on how to little has been done to late and demean the achievements of making a font that will make reading in EVE less of a chore.

These changes, together with the upcoming new/old hangar will surely impact my favourite MMO chat room significantly.

it feels a bit strange, will take time to get used to

but well since a began to play more on nullsec i realized how horrible was the font, so i understand the need to change ^^

I was looking for a captial F!P
But yeah, this was because the font was sitting to high, it has been fixed now!
