Relating to speed:

Please take into consideration rebalancing speed on ALL ships.. A 7.62mm bullet's velocity is between 600-900m/s. My MSE Dramiel can go 5200m/s+ without overheating. That is completely rediculous. It's beyond the realm of believability. If Superman is faster than a speeding bullet then I am between 6 and 10 times faster than SUPERMAN! WTF!!

Obviously tracking speeds would have to be adjusted too because I'm not asking you to change the mechanics to get my ship blown up. I'm just asking that you make the game believable.

Relating to size:

Can we please do something about the sizes of ships. A Thanatos can haul a Machariel but if you look at them side by side there is no way a Mach would fit inside a Thanny. Change it so Stations are only anchored to orbit planets and then make them WAAAAY bigger. Or do the opposite and shrink all the ships in the game, Dreads and Carriers included. Have you ever seen a fleet of dreads coming out of a station? There is no way they would all fit in there!

um. . .

you do realize that the space shuttle regularly travelled at around 8,000 m/s in orbit around the Earth, and that is not even fast enough to escape Earths gravity.

Using 1968 technology, the Saturn V moon rockets had to travel around 11,422 m/s to get to the moon. Yes, spacecraft technology from the sixties orbits the moon at 24,500 mph (10,977m/s).

A bullet is slow compared to spaceships of even last century.

And I'd imagine future technology would probably get a lot faster than that lol.

If you want believability, then space ships in EVE would need to be significantly SPED UP. They are generally going too slow by even 20th century rocket speeds.

Hell, even the Russian sputnik was going at 8,065m/s, and that was with 1957 technology lol.

Speed necessary to reach orbit of the Earth is between 6.5-8.2 km/s. Speed needed to escape Earth gravity (for travelling to outer space) is 11.2 km/s or higher.

Now leave Superman alone! Anti-aircraft missiles are few times faster than usual rifle bullet... are they faster than Superman as well? Now I assume you see fallacy of your reasoning. Superman is just fictitious, and outside of DC comic books can't be used to measure speed of anything.

Relating to speed, you are wayyyyy wrong. The ships are fast enough and as said above, some should be faster.

Relating to Size, I agree with you 100%, but size and scale of ships has always been an issue with EVE.

The size and scale of everything in EvE is a bit off, but it's good enough for a game.
