Googled this but not really getting an answer. How many NPC kills needed to increase to the next level? Is there a formula? Not sure if this is right place to ask, thanks for looking.

Are you asking about your security status? It appears that different NPCs carry different levels of bounties, so I'm going to assume that your standings increase at a faster rate doing higher level (bigger mobs) then smaller ones.

Sorry if that doesn't help.

I wouldn't doubt someone has counted. Only the highest kill will give you a security increase every 15 or 20 mins I forget the length of time. Think it is 15 mins. So really you can kill all you want but only 1 pirate or whatever will matter every 15 mins the highest one. That is how it used to be when I had -7 or -8

Pretty sure he's asking about military index upgrades in 0.0, not security status:

Having said that, I don't have an answer, nor does that link.

I am talking about the Military index of a 0.0 system...not my security status

I recall my CEO telling me we had to kill 1000 rats of any type to get from level 2 to level 3. Other than that I have no idea.

Our mil index is always high and all we do is run annoms. I wish we could get the indy index up, that's the one that seems slow as all hell(nobody mines). As far as the number of rats needed to be killed to raise the mil index, a few anoms a day should do it.

Actually, you will need to kill an x amount of npcs for the levels to go up, and for each level gained, you need to kill more npcs than before to advance another level again. You also need to maintain the levels by killing the minimum npcs per day oterwise the level will degenerate over time (25% per day).
Im sorry but I dont know how many you need to kill specifically but I came across a good pdf document the other day with all the details but I cant seem to find it anywhere.

one level 4 anom does about 3 percent from what I remember, or at least it does where I live

What we're actually doing is removing both hisec and PvP from the game entirely. It seems like the fairest way to solve this problem. - CCP Grayscale  - CCP troll BEST troll <3
