hi,

ill make this short and sweet,

when you zoom out from your ship to your prefered distance and then look at something else like a ship for example why does the camera zoom back to zero?

could the client rember your preferd distance to look at the object or ship and then you can quickly look at several different ships in succession with out having to scroll back out

prehaps an option in general settings tab would counter this

It doesn't even need to be the prefered distance as long as it isn't zooming to zero which is very annoying.

ok had an idea to this

in the selected items box you can right click and set default orbits and keep at range etc right?

well in the same selected items box there is the good old 'look at' button, you should be able to right click that l'ook at' button and enter your preferd distance for looking at ships or objects

problem solved

if you want this in game then you have to support it guys and girls

Good idea. I also think the default view is way too close, can't see anything but your own ship. I always have to zoom out a little...
